@thousanddollarcarguy I am from iran. We have this car in our country. We have many mechanics but you are very clear and patient. I love American people. I have a good friend in Arizona. I call him bro. Nice video. Thanks ❤️🪷
@Icespace183 I imagine it's a bit different. But the process is basically the same on most gas powered vehicles. Please find the fuel injector fuse and pull it to let the injectors run out of fuel before pulling the rail so it doesn't leak gas everywhere. Safety first
@bobbycuesroadhouse2204 anything is possible. The thing I would take away I'd start with a chassis with the combo you want. Then fit the body over it. For example take a 2003 denali. Remove the body. The shrink the dimensions to fit the cameo. Then fit the Camara over rit
@@thousanddollarcarguy I planned on using CTS 4 front subframe, same front track width as 1 gen, ( all aluminum), front diff, spindles, axles, bravado/AWD T-case,NV3500 trans, Like you did! Bust out the welder, torch and a case of cold ones and go!!!
I had a dream the other night that I had my red 1989 manual transmission Ford Festiva L again. I was ecstatic in my dream. Once you've had a Festiva it will come back to you in dreams for the rest of your life.
I had a 1989 Ford Festiva. I bought it in 1989 and kept it until 2007. I waxed it religiously so the outer body still looked great but by the end there were fatal rust problems underneath (I live in a part of Canada where we salt heavily). I LOVED THAT LITTLE NERD CAR! If I had to do it again I'd get regular oil sprays. My boss just got rid of her 1989 Toyota Tercel. She said that she had it oil sprayed every year for the first 5 years and then never again. She had no serious rust problems, she just wanted a new vehicle.

This is a great video and I am so grateful. Am going to do this as same thing happened to my 2003 automatic insight. When I open and take off the metal cover I know the main switch will be in the off position because I did itv3 yrs ago. So the two plugs you referenced will be plugged in and I unplug them correct? If so can you explain how the 12v battery recharges itself with no alternator? Thanks and sorry for long winded questions
Thanks for creating this tribute to the Festiva. I owned a '93 Festiva L with the 4-speed manual. Very basic but it had beautiful metallic blue paint. I just needed a second car for commuting to work and it served very well. Of all the cars I've owned I remember the Festiva more fondly than just about any other.
I'm 55 and haven't had my Festiva for 17 years and it still pops up in my dreams from time to time. The other night I dreamed that it came back to me and I was so happy.
I had an 88 Festiva, and have nothing but fond memories of it. I am a firearms person. It is said that Americans definition of reliability is things not going wrong, and the Russian definition is that when things go wrong they are easy to fix. I was miles away from home when her clutch went out. or I'd have fixed her.
Dude, I am getting ready to do an AWD 1969 mercury cougar,,,thank so much for doing this video,,might have a few questions,,was thinking about using mating Audi parts since there major into AWD racing..tks all the best..
This worked on my base model 2015 manual 1.6L Kia Soul. My issues started with the car not wanting to start when it wasn't cold. I could hit the gas pedal to get it to barely start, but then my tachometer stopped working too. Oh I also had the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) light on my dash, which looks like a car with tire marks behind it. I replaced the sensor like in the video, had to remove my negative battery terminal twice because the first time I didn't leave it disconnected long enough. Anyway after that the car started right up fine, tachometer working great, and no check engine lights or codes. I ran the car for like 5 minutes down the road to get it up to temp. I shut the car off and restarted it without issues. This video helped a ton. Thank you! Just make sure you get the old rubber ring off before you put the new one in, because I saw a post on a forum where someone didn't, and that extra millimeter of difference was causing issues.
@@stephenmcbride8859 this is like a 5 minute job if it weren't for the plastic wind shroud under the car. It's so easy to do I was shocked. It's like two bolts and a metal clip, take the old one out, pop the new one in, put the clip in and two bolts and then disconnect your battery so your check engine light goes away. It's so easy, I was relieved because I don't have a lot of tools or money to take it in, but this was so simple. This was honestly easier than changing oil, which is super easy too. You can do it for sure
@BillyFontaineSYB part 2 of the Monete carlo build did happen. But I ended up selling the project to fund a addiction on my house. So it was worth it to me. But to be fair next time I'd just lower the body of the monte carlo over the chassis of the bravado to keep it awd.
Did you thank me by sending 2$? If you did that's really generous. But you don't have to do that. I make the videos to help people and youtube pays me enough for that.
If the engine isn't turning over it's not the fuel injectors. The car would still try to start and turn the motor over but wouldn't start or it would stumble with a bad injector
