'Life' can often get in the way of good ol' home cooking - whether it's due to lack of time, knowledge, or resources. My goal is to share some ideas on how to make our lives simpler, healthier, and tastier - by making home-cooking accessible through easy-to-follow recipes using everyday ingredients.

I have a question - I love my overnight oats with pureed banana - but are these OK to meal prep for 5 days with the banana in? I tend to make mine the night before. Will the banana last without being in its skin?
Hey there! For the banana version, I've typically eaten it within 3 days or so and it's been fine. Beyond that at 4-5 days, I can't say definitively (as always, use your judgment) but you may wish to add the pureed banana in right before consuming instead. Hope that helps!
Sorry to hear they didn't firm up enough for you! Did you use the same amount of ingredients as listed, or make any alterations? If you did, the only other suggestion I can offer is to really make sure to press it down firmly to flatten and compress everything together. The tighter you press the ingredients together before refrigerating, the more dense and firm the bars will be. And of course, giving it enough time to chill in the fridge to harden. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
@toastyapron I'll compress them more for when I make another batch :) I used the same ingredients as in the video and they honestly tasted incredible! Thanks for taking the time to reply
Thank you for the great new way to eat a healthy breakfast and baked treat. I will make these today for my family. Trying to help them eat healthy after switching my diet to avoid processed foods.
Hey there! Glad to hear you enjoyed the recipe. Sorry to hear the meat came out a bit too tough - one suggestion to make it more tender next time, is to try tenderizing the beef chunks if you find them a bit too tough (there are a number of ways to tenderize, such as using a meat mallet, or using baking soda - you can feel free to find a technique online that suits your preferences). Hope that helps!
That's wonderful! It really is that easy - I love how kid-friendly it is, both in terms of taste and in terms of them being helpers in the kitchen! I'd love to hear how you and your son liked the end result! 🙂
