Because God loves you, He has given you rights as a human being: No one is allowed to kill you, steal from you, lie to you, or even covet your stuff. If you are married, no one is allowed to chase after your spouse, and if you have children, they are required to honor you. God's commandments are a reflection of His character and supreme love for mankind.

You would be forgiven for your confusion: The Mormons and SDA have much more in common, than you would think. Of course the dress code, which is somewhat mandatory. Hint, if you are a man, you must own and wear a suit, if you want to be allowed to take membership and pay ten percent of your income in tithes to either cult and women of course have to wear long skirts. Man made rules; the Bible clearly defines, that we must dress modest, but that is all, and a suit is not modest in my book. However, the Mormons stand on the Book of Mormon as scripture and SDA claim to believe in the Bible alone as scripture, but in truth only understand it through a filter of Ellen G White's many, many books basically explaining away, what the Bible literally say! They are both literally antichrist cult, per the definition in the Bible as denying the deity of Jesus Chris: The Mormons claim, that God were a man once, as all male members of the Mormons one day can be a God of his own planet and Jesus Christ is the brother of Lucifer! SDA and Ellen G White literally were the author of modern day Arianism, which JW at least are so good as to be open about, so we can mark and avoid that cult as literally damned heretics, but SDA pretend to not believe in, but in reality Ellen G White defends in almost all of her many, many books, that Jesus Christ is Archangel Michael, which JW got from her. JW and SDA has common roots in the Millerites, were Ellen G White already proved herself to be a false prophet, by prophesizing the return of Jesus Christ to be nothing short than three consecutive years in the 1840s, and still some people saw it to be a good idea to found a cult around her later, the SDA! The real crazy part is, that Ellen G White and SDA base their notion, that Jesus Christ is Archangel Michael, and therefore a mere servant of God and created being, not God, on one verse in the Bible, 1Thessalonians 4:16 KJV, which is ridiculous, look it up for yourself! That verse is stating, that Jesus Christ will return with a shout of an archangel, meaning that it would be a very loud voice, that the whole Earth will hear, not that ridiculous conclusion, that Ellen G White did, that He therefore must be Archangel Michael. So, if I change my voice to a high-pitch female voice, and I can, I am then a woman? Simply crazy stuff. That same chapter in 1Thessalonians is by the way the rapture chapter of all the Bible, clearly stating, that the death in Christ will rise first, then us, who are still alive but saved will meet Jesus Christ in the clouds. This Ellen G White, seriously, do not see as proof of the rapture, but as proof of another SATANIC doctrine of SDA, which is soul sleep: They claim, that the souls of the death goes nowhere, but the souls of the saved rest to that day, then they go to Heaven and the soul of the lost only then to Hell. That is contrary, many, many verses in the Bible quoting Jesus Christ, not least the story about Lazarus in Paradise and the rich man in Hell, the first conscious in comfort and the last conscious in torment! I do have to say, that some SDA members are unusual in the aspect, that they do not consider Ellen G White's books as scripture and only hold to the Bible as authority, and therefore they also disregard some of the open heretical teachings of Ellen G White. Why they are in that cult then, however is hard for me to understand.
