Thanks for helping clarify that. After filming the video, I located a map that showed accurate boundaries and realized some of what I found on Google may have been wrong. Thanks for watching!
It sure does, but TX-20 continues on beyond Piedras St. My title says TX-20 as well. 😃 I decided to stop downtown because I recorded footage for a separate video driving downtown. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your feedback! I am still learning and getting accustomed to what settings and speed work best for my videos. This video is sped up, which is why it looks so fast. I do record at 60 frames per second, though, so you can easily toggle to a slower speed on RU-vid's settings and still get a clear view of what I recorded. Also, when you pause the video, you should be able to see a clear shot of the surroundings if you're interested in looking at a certain area. Thanks for watching!
I can say this much! Being born and raised in El Paso! I have photographic memory vision. And I recall far back in the day of the late 1950's! You couldn't drive around like that in twenty minutes! Downtown El Paso was bustling with traffic and shoppers everywhere. The electric street cars were in action, pigeons everywhere, and we even had live alligators in San Jacinto Plaza. Three city bus lines with their hub station right in San Jacinto Plaza. I recall cruising the streets of downtown in 1975, same routes, but more. I also included UTEP, Tom Lee Park and Scenic Drive. But downtown is and always be my best sightseeing cruise. Because I have witness downtown El Paso change for the better. Unfortunately we allowed Max Grossman and Oscar Leeser to take away our voter approved downtown arena. If I live that long! I'm looking forward to the I10 Deck Plaza. Your Video gets a 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating! BTW! while you were cruising down El Paso Street @ the corner of east Overland. On the left, there was this dilapidated building with it's roof in badly need of repairs.
Wow! I plan on doing more work around El Paso, recording, documenting, and appreciating the local history. I have a lot to learn about this city. Thank you for sharing your story with me! I have a big imagination, and I could picture the scenes as I read your description. I look forward to the continued improvements to the city (and downtown). El Paso is home, and it has a lot to offer; things that often go unappreciated. Again, I appreciate your words, compliments, attention, and support.
Buena suerte!
I believe so! It's funny you mention it because I wanted to create a video that appreciates the view of the mountains more. Hondo Pass may be the street to help me with that. I'll look into it. Although I'm from El Paso, I'm not too familiar with a lot of the streets here.
I'm just glad that improvements are being made. I've enjoyed learning about the history downtown and love seeing the architecture. Thanks for watching!
I just discovered your channel. Your work is soothing to the senses and the visuals do justice to the modest and dignified beauty of El Paso. While Downtown is not my favorite part of El Paso, it offers amusements for visitors who aren't hardcore outdoors people.
Thank you! I appreciate your compliment. I plan on making more videos of the city. I love the way El Paso looks on video. I agree, downtown is improving!
There aren't many street views of Kern Place and Austin Place on RU-vid, so this was really nice to watch. I used to live on Yandell in Sunset Heights. Loved it. The houses there are unique. The architectural designs are pretty and solid and sensible for the desert climate.
Thanks for watching! I know, I had never driven through Kern place. This was my first time in all the years I've lived here. Again, thanks for the support.
I am not too familiar with what Downtown Phoenix looks like, but I will say that Downtown El Paso is pretty. There have been a lot of improvements and more in the works. Thanks for your support!
I will make another video driving through Ascarate Park. 😃 I have another video titled TX-20 that is me driving from Fabens to Downtown El Paso through Alameda Ave. Check out the video! Please subscribe! Thanks for the support. Let me know if you'd like me to drive by any other areas!
