Kingsley Suamataia is the key to the deep passing game. Worthy will get his, no doubt. But Kingsley is the biggest improvement to this offense regarding the long ball
In rugby he was a glider. A finesse player who could exploit broken field situations normally created by others with his pace. Those kind of situations don't happen in the NFL. At least not in the same way they do in rugby. Nobody is going to draw in defenders then slip him a lateral in the NFL. Once the ball is dead there is a reset and a down. Play doesn't continue as it does in rugby. In the NFL there's a massive premium on players who can make yards against a set defence that's expecting them. Physical force and movement win. He wasn't that kind of crash ball player in rugby so I doubt he could reinvent himself as one in the NFL. With his pace and agility he could learn to run routes and return. So WR or returner is his best bet. He was never an RB. Those guys have to take a huge battering and be able to step a linebacker in a phone box. They're all as wide as they are tall and have incredible footwork.
KCC finally woke up to the obvious . They had the small matter of winning a 3peat and no room for a project .They did not offer him a practice squad spot and encouraged him to look elsewhere . The Jags will put him on the practice roster and he can have the months ,not weeks he needs to catch up an NFL standard requires.
Hes a traiter to you folks back home thay giv him the golden opportunity to play for is nation and look wot he goes and does he wa even around long enuff to prove is worth never mind wishing him well he turned is back on you we hav a a few like that over here in england like him if love iland gav him the opportunity to invite him in he wood be on the plane back home today
Longhorns and Texans fan. The Chiefs drafting Worthy is going to be a nightmare to deal with. Chiefs have a legit shot to do what's never been done before. Previous two-time winners would get ransacked in free agency, that hasn't really happened to the Chiefs. Hope to see yall in the title game and at least make things interesting.
In rugby, LRZ was a winger, very similar to WR. Its his natural element, running that line, catching the ball, dodging attackers, running full speed and getting that score! RB was never the right place for him, Chiefs would have seen a lot more at WR!
Are my ears workin ok did you say ""easily beating the ravens?" U know they have Derek Henry? Chiefs run defense couldn't slow down Mcaffrey. (we won because the 9ers don't know how to call the right plays) How are they going to slow down Henry?
Pacheco is certainly one of the best RBs in all of the NFL. It maybe a stroke of luck that CEH has to sit out for four games cause P gets a chance to get his hands on the ball. Andy's loyal to CEH but the door is open to P. If he breaks a few big runs we won't see CEH in week 5.
I reckon the chiefs must have told louis he wasn't going to make the practice squad. I was convinced he wanted to be at the chiefs. I agree, it seems very strange to me that he moved to the jags. I feel sure he must have been told he didn't have an immedaite future at the chiefs. Otherwise it seems like a really strange decision by LRZ.
Imagine all the Chiefs fans that purchased LRZ Shirts. I think if he gets games on the field it can't it can't be a bad thing, yeah the practice squad would have been good at the Chiefs but no better experience than playing games.
@@jacksauce i dont want to be mean and its kinda expected he sucks since american football is realy inexistant here in europe but rugby dispite the similarities rugby is not close to football. I wish him well but right now he is less than a non-factor just happy chiefs placed ipp on godrick instead of him =)
@adamevans9644 jags did have an IPP player- it was Patrick murtagh - the aussie guy on the same IPP program as LRZ but he broke his ankle at training camp so is out for the season so the IPP spot became available again.
Something is very "off" with it ....and everyone knows it... Amazing athlete didn't put a foot wrong...looked at least as good as the majority of guys on the field in pre season games.... Abilities in abundance a great marketing guy for the chiefs and he didn't even get on the practice squad....I smell BS!
Lol, he didn’t even look like a football player & he sure didn’t look as good as the other guys. His pad level & footwork was a mess. He just needs more time to acclimate to the game. There’s no conspiracy, man. It’s just football. We’ll see how he does with the Jags🤞
@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 Special teams abilities kick return punt and kicking backup duties.. He has an amazing leg and has kick field goals all his life...couple this with amazing speed and open field potential on return that if his teammates had actually done their blocking job properly we would have seen much more of him and possibly some amazing highlight reels... All these abilities as I said earlier would have been available to the Chiefs had he stayed. He's not a running back and I agree with you on that... Practice squad covering many positions yes!! I think they've dropped the ball here with him...
@@brocklanders6008 He didn’t show enough in his preseason games Looked a bit stiff in the first game , I think he did okay in the second and third games , no mistakes but no highlight reel either , compared to Jarryd Hayne’s preseason it was underwhelming, mind you Jarryd was a better rugby player than Louis is RB is not his position, he’s a wheels guy not a stepper or change of direction type of winger Think IPP was the wrong route into the show for him , at his age he could have gone to a reasonable sized college team probably not an SEC or Big 10 team that would have been too tough , but the pass happy Big 12 might have been an option. NIL means he could have earned while he learned Practice squad for a year means a lot rides on the preseason games That said the Jags probably see him for a few reasons so to speak
I don’t know I’d go as far as ‘flash in the pan,’ but he was definitely overhyped by some fans of the team. I’ve seen this for going on 30 years. There’s always a fan favorite & people always get mad when they get released & say that KC will regret letting him go etc etc. I honestly can’t think of one fan favorite in the last 30+ years that’s been released that I’ve seen months later, on Sunday, tearing up the field with their incredible talent.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 There is a big difference between rugby and American Football. He might develop and become a decent player, but he is competing against history. Most NFL players have been playing this game since they were 5-6 years old. The same reason American soccer players don't do well in European leagues, 1 out of 1000 might do well to some extent but most of the rest of the world a football (soccer) is the first ball kids learn to play. I agree with you regarding KC fan favorites, every year it is someone. Last year it was Justyn Ross and Deneric Prince, this year it was LRZ until the first preseason game and Carson Steele ran his first game carry. Steele might be different, but I withhold my final assessment until I see what he does during a regular season game against 1st string defenses. So LRZ might not be flash in the pan, but going from possibly being on our practice squad to being on Jacksonville's practice squad isn't breaking any barriers per say.
Emergency punter and kicker. Backup RB FB TE and every other weird spot in the backfield. Most spots on special teams including returner. I would try hard to keep him however I could. And the Jags make sense going back to the UK at least once if not twice a year. Also less talent there and easier to find a spot. No offense
Let's be honest, I think Andy Reid endorsed the move, KC already had an IPP player and Jags had no IPP player, also Jags play in London for a few games, I could see Jags playing him in London to sell out that stadium. LRZ needs time to grow, and he might have an accelerated growth at Jags with the IPP spot than being just an average PS player at KC
I agree with you. I'll be honest, I'm not sure how committed KC was with him. They have bigger things to concentrate on. Never should have been a RB. Don't think they should have signed him
Jags did have an IPP player - Patrick murtagh - aussie guy - at same IPP program as LRZ. He broke his ankle at jags training camp so out for the season. LRZ replacing him on 1 year contract
@@user-nk9cw5md8l interesting could we see KC and Jags working together maybe? LRZ taking the IPP slot for this season, and then when Andy thinks he is ready he'll be coming back to the chiefs?
@dietermeyer3531 no chance. His one and only stint with the chiefs is over. Football doesn't work like that - it's an elite league where only the absolute very best players survive and many many extremely good players still get cut and end up as free agents waiting for a team to take a chance on them. Sorry but unless LRZ actually ends up on the Jags roster and plays incredibly well he will remain on practice squads. U can't suddenly make up for 10+ years of no football knowledge or experience. He is up against thousands of elite college athletes trying to break into the NFL every year. Do u know how many great players the chiefs just cut - not just LRZ. It's a ruthless cut throat business. Average career of a running back in the NFL is 2 to 3 years before they are out the league. Less than 1% of college players get into the NFL. I think LRZ unless he makes a sensational transition will be a practice squad player for a few seasons - that's it - he has nothing special about him that all 32 teams don't already have.
@dietermeyer3531 there are approx 1000 NFL players, all with plenty of experience and talent ,who have all been cut from the 32 NFL teams training camps and didnt make practice squads- they are now all free agents looking for a job. This happens every year. That's who LRZ is competing against going forward to get a job in the NFL.
