Hi linda i have been working as a RN band 5 in A&E I just have 3 years of experience and 1 year post registration. What are my chances of getting accepted in a trainee ACP role ? Would appreciate your input 😊
Hi Linda, your video is fantastic. I already have a MSc.Nursing degree but it wasn’t an ANP program. Do I need to do another MSc related to ANP? And what are the chances for a care home nurse to become a ANO in GP practice ?
Thanks for the lovely feedback, so you will need a Msc in Advanced Clinical practice to become an ACP. MSc in Nursing won't be enough however you can study at Uni and work as a trainee ACP at the same time. Nurses in care homes can apply for trainee ACP post in GP setting however bear in mind that this is a very competitive role with usually very experienced applicants so consider expanding your experience to give you the best chances and also check the job advert requirements.. hope you find this helpful

To the best of my knowledge, this program is not currently open to international students currently living outside of the UK. if you're in the UK as a Nurse or any of the other allied healthcare field , you could potentially apply even if you were trained outside of the UK, hope this helps 👍
There're alot of factors that influence how long it takes to save a house deposit such as Your income, monthly expenses, number of dependants you have, if you're supporting family back home financially, how much deposit you're trying to save, location of where you want to buy (e.g London vs Midlands house prices). It's different for everyone depending on your circumstances so this is not a yard stick but It took us about 2 and half years.. Bear in mind that it could take more time or even less depending on your situation, but regardless, never give up and it will definitely happen 🥰🥰
If I’m a new grad nurse can I apply for an anp trainee job and then apply for the masters in acp without the the 3 years experience almost like an apprenticeship?

I'm not a financial adviser or have any financial qualifications so please seek expert financial advice to help you determine the best decision Please do your research, consider your age, personal and financial circumstances before pausing your pension because we all know how important it is to save for retirement Also If you do pause your pension please make sure you remember to restart the contributions again.. in my case, I was in my early 20s and I only paused my contributions for 1 year and restarted my pension contributions as soon as I achieved my goal Hope this helps and thanks for your continued support 🥰😍
Your video was so informative. My practice wouldn’t support me on the ACP even though i was offered funding. So now i am going through a longer route. Currently doing my prescribing luckily my training hub funded that but my emergency care course i am funding myself. I am hoping to work in A&E which i will have to do as a band 5 get some experience there and apply for the ACP. Seems like theres so much hurdles to get through just to have be supported through the course.

5 stars for you. I’m beyond excited to see a WOC taking that role. I did see in some places that you need to be a band 6 to apply and become band 7 as trainee and on completion band 8A. Can you work in GP as ACP
Thanks lovely 😍... it's work in progress for me as I'm still training.. there's a common misconception that you need to be a Band 6 first before you apply but that's not true although it can vary depending on employer The criteria usually says you need to show evidence of leadership but doesn't have to be Band 6 You can also work in community and GP setting as well
