@@rookie516 >Too many overpriced units 175mp pio, 200/250/300mp mainlines that get free* guns (*one-time 100 muni purchase) 315mp/55 fuel TD that goes down to 220/38 what overpriced units exactly?
@@wheeze5629 300mp yes, but reinforcing it cost about 30~40mp and 300mp but you just get for 5xman if you want 6th man for more fire power you have to pay 100mp and 10muni(not sure)
Damn, that B4 is so good. Btw, why didn`t you use ISU152 arty abbility or at least HE shells, cause he blobed so badly? And I`m very sorry to see that pathfinding for ISU in the end((( Anyway GGWP
In 1v1 Soviet arty is trash tier because they have bad infantry and vehicles in general, you won't get your power spike until you reach the last tech level where you can order the T-34 Ace (and even then its not a huge power spike) and ML-20 (which comes VERY late, maybe 20-30 mins in and requires huge investment), until then you're stuck with basic half tracks, Strelki, Penal troops, ZiS gun and defenses. Most of the time you're screwed when Axis brings the Panzer IVs because your ZiS guns and T-34/76s can't reliably penetrate them. If you survive past 30 mins though you start absolutely demolishing your opposition with ML-20 nuke arty, invisible SU-85s and the ISU.
@@henryhamilton4087 It's not trash at all in 1v1 :) The real trash doctrine in 1v1 is Jager imho. With penal squads, you'll have an advantage in manpower and quicker access to big stuff like T34-85 Ace. That's why I think it is more reasonable to try "less cringe" soviet arty.
@@henryhamilton4087 Yeah, I agree with you on all on this. But its odd to see that how a specific doctrine, aka arty doctrine for the soviets never (or almost never) get to use arty. Perhaps if the maps would be bit bigger for 1v1 it could change some tactics, but I dont think many PvP are interested into that.
@@rookie516 I dont think its a balance issue but how a doctrine which should be specialised for arty use, never has the time or costs to use them. Its like you playing air borne doctrine without have the time or rescources to use air borne troops lol.
Commandos in Wikinger is absolutely broken because you can just blob and bank on the Bash on Regardless ability which removes suppression and basically allows Commandos to walk past anything and kill whatever it wants (in a mod where damage to infantry is a lot more lethal), then they could just hit retreat which auto pops a smoke grenade. You trade 2-3 models for 2-3 axis squads or tanks. Repeat until you win.
True. That's why I do the "nerfed" Commandos as you can see. But even in recent days I thnik I still heard some saying that the doctrine needs more tanks to strengthen its anti tank aspect, as if it were really in need of any buff.
Falls really hardcounter sov arty because theyre infanty is one of the best in game and sov arty has the worst inf outside penal. Strelki is just very bad in general. Double maxims and some luck and skill needed to gain any footprint early game. At lategame with isu, lazarov and sniper team youd have some chance.
if chaffer would have went straight to mg42 inf cp unlock and use them with officer and luchs, I think he would have ended the game around 20min mark. Raketen would have been enough at for early game
@@egmushi Many players I know can feel your pain. It has become an unwritten rule among the community to always put weaker players on Allies team in an attempt to get some balance.
Infantry is panzergrenadier doctrine sucks. Ugh. Both are mainline. Same deployment cost, slower build time, higher reinforcement cost, slower reinforcement rate, and has worse upgrade. Yuck! 🤢 Panzerfusilier (PF) have access to 3 exclusive upgrades (3x g43, rifle grenades, and scoped kar98k) that locks out each other. The g43 and scoped 98k are not even that good. Note that rifle grenades just give you an ability to use rifle grenade and AT rifle grenade. Meanwhile Riflemen have 2 weapon upgrades to choose from depending on doctrine (m1919 lmg, or bazooka with sticky AT grenade) or (lmg or scoped springfield). The lmg is super good since it has suppression too. On top of that, they have 2 more separate upgrades (medkit and rifle grenade) which doesn't lock each other out. 😮 If you want to be able to launch a rifle grenade as PF, you have to sacrifice the chance of improving your dps. While riflemen can have everything they want.
True. Jager and PF really need some sort of buff to justify their high costs. Sadly, I don't think it will happen, at least not in a way that is necessarily needed for balance.
@@rookie516 In the Panzergrenadier doctrine, I prefer using Panzergrenadier (Pgrens) as substitute mainlines, since they are much better than PF and can somewhat keep up with riflemen. Though they are not truly mainline cuz the ambulance pumps out PF instead. 😢
first lost of Max Hansen : I thought 101st paratroop doesnt have AT thats not worth for him to die second lost : I saw that sherman76 from miles away I ordered Hansen to reverse back to HQ sector but he keeps doing 360 thing
Since im not a player that use tanks running around on the frontline the ‘Zerstorer’ should have upgraded to 3xstg44 that would bring more firepower vs infantry
@@SunferCrazy I intended to use Zerstorer to kill t34-85 and ISU, but, yeah, I should have chosen stg and let AT gun do the AT thing. Btw the "evasive maneuver" of your tank was suprisingly effective, WP!
the pio opener seemed decent for a while but you had the fuel for T3 at 9:40 and didnt end up getting access to it until 15:30, meaning the double ostwinds only got a few minutes and you couldn't leverage your fuel advantage as effectively maybe it'd be worth withdrawing the pios over time to replace with volkssturm + gun truck, which would also give your 3/115 their shreck and give you an actually scaling AT-capable infantry since pios fall short in this role quite quickly 27 minute ISU was maybe nail in the coffin either way though
Yes, I should have gone for T3 and Ostwind earlier instead of getting that 3/115. Given the cost of 3/115, I really expected much more from it even without the gun truck. BTW, I was amazed by the combat performance and costs of the penal squad. Its incredibly low costs pave a smooth way to powerful unit like t34-85 and ISU.
COH1 and BK mod are both masterpieces, so even after 20+ years there are still players to be found online. Just install the mod and go to the lobby and you'll probably see some players there.
Nice game Rookie, try get 3 stars on ya captain earlier, keep him in the fight utilising smoke, helps to have mortar call in against pesky mgs like you did this game
Cost-effective & fast reinforcing T0 infantry that can even fight jager in close range lays a good foundation for the doc. M15 + paradrop AT squad = T1+T2 dominance Cheap double shermans call-in = T3 dominance Cheap triple elite infantry call-in = T4 dominance Conclusion: Too powerful. Many things in this doctrine need a price nerf.
I haven't done any deep analysis in this area, but my instinct tells me it's because AB can spend roughly less or same resource while getting the same or even better units than SS panzer. Take the starting infantry for example, AB has 6 semi-auto firearms and SS has bolt action rifles. I don't really have to spend more manpower to get an upper hand on firepower. The engagement around 2:55 is a good example. M15 and the double shermans are also good examples at later stages.
You mean COH1 BK mod, right? Wikinger is not better when it comes to contents diversity because COH2 modding tool is inferior to that of COH1. But I do think that the Wikinger PVP playerbase is more active.
