Unfortunately Google Voice has made some changes so these older instructions won't work perfectly anymore. You can become a client by going to www.redclifflabs.com
@myrtlemnbve I'm curious to hear more about what left you so displeased with Clicksend? I've used them for my business for many years, as well as integrated for many clients that all seem happy with that company. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them.
@@carsonyoung3716 We referred 4 clients over the span of 12 days to clicksend and 3 out of 4 reported that , after funding, they were arbitrarily suspended by clicksend - in 2 cases, our clients spent $1700+ on API integration, and the suspensions were arbitrary, so not reversed
@@Kelly49657 - honestly there are SO many added possibilities when you pair Globiflow's capability to Podio, I wouldn't recommend using Podio without globiflow. If you really want, you can figure out using Zapier to send SMS from Podio's interface...but you'll end up paying for a zapier subscription and the configuration is more confusing in my opinion. There are other tools that work as a CRM with sms capability built right in, and frankly if you're only using the free features of Podio then one of those tools might be a better fit for you in the long term. If you'd like to schedule a call I'd be happy to chat with you about options which can help you , sign up for a call here: calendly.com/redclifflabs/quick-sync-up-call
Great Video, does it still work as we are in 2020, also would love to see if we can send out bulk texts as well. Could we send the caller a text directly from Podio? Thank you very much.
Hi @No Real Estate Investor Left Behind - YES this approach does still work now in 2020. As for sending text messages, even Bulk Texts I strongly recommend looking into the integration available with ClickSend. See help.clicksend.com/article/10qrddnf5b-globiflow-and-podio That is by far the easiest way to integrate direct text messaging with a podio system. For the Bulk Texting piece...you would just need to build some workflows and globiflow is involved. 1 - make sure to build and save a filtered list of people in Podio. 2 - use globiflow to build a workflow that finds and triggers an action to each item in that saved filter. 4 - make sure you have a flow that sends SMS (see earlier link to clicksend recommendation) 3 - use the globiflow workflow to add a comment on each item with your blast message. aka - "I'm looking to buy houses in Utah are you still selling?" Try that approach and if you need additional help, feel free to book a call with our team at redclifflabs.com/contact/book-a-call/
Hi, Carson! Is there a way to get ALL calls -- incoming, (those answered as well), etc, onto podio automatically? Thank you so much for being a tech hero. xoxo
Hey Charlotte, with Google Voice specifically, the options they offer are only to "Get email alerts for missed calls" or "Forward messages to email" or "Get voicemail via email" So with those options, notifications for incoming answered calls cannot be set up. If you are looking for that level of phone call tracking within Podio, I strongly recommend SmrtPhone www.smrtphone.io?afmc=1p (I'm an affiliate) or CallRail.com Google Voice is really the bare minimum option for an online phone system.
Checking duplicates is handled via Globiflow workflows you have to set up in the background. Most people that are unfamiliar with database coding will want a Podio Developer to help with this because it can get complicated building those flows (based on factors like how the phone# is formatted, what type of field - phone or text - you store your #'s in, etc.)
Yes. In your GV account you can find notification settings and tell if whether it should send these notices for texts as well as phone calls. If you use a different service for SMS Texting (like Twilio) the process of tracking those in podio can also be done quite easily, but the setup does look slightly different.
Great video. However, when i setup my seller calls in podio using this method, all of my email messages came into the podio app. But none of my calls. I'm only using google voice, no other service, like call rail, etc. Not sure what i'm doing wrong.Thx
Hey Pam, it sounds like the filter you set up is probably backward. (check around the 5min45sec mark in the video) Make sure you've told gmail that you only want to forward messages into your Podio Calls app that came from the Google Voice account.
