She is lovely in every way. He interviews a bit better than his Ego steals the show on stage. But I've heard she could hardly stand him because of his ego. I'm sure that's where the acting training came in verrry handy.
If you can find it, there is a part 1 to this interview on youtube where the two of them did several dances then sat down so he is out of breath cause of just dancing
He's asthmatic. I think it's amazing that he could maintain the drive and energy in view of the physical limitations. I've learned that many singers and dancers deal with asthma or other limiting issues. I am in awe.
Chicago born Irish also, and we're so very proud of what their work has accomplished on so many levels for Ireland and the Irish people throughout the world. Great Irish Pride, too sad there's so much animosity, jealousy, in various directions, most appallingly towards Irish not born in Ireland. The two did a fab job, as did Collin, the entire dance group, and all the professionals involved in these productions over the years. Best to each of them -
at the time Michael was married, and Jean had a boyfriend. Michael made several advances on Jean, but Jean cut him off. Jean knew what kind of person Michael was.
His parents came to America directly from Ireland--probably learned English from them, so he, yes,--has an accent from that. No doubt he's narcissistic, but also no doubt he's talented. You can be both and your art be appreciated for its talent. Don't have to like the guy, and I'm sure he was a womanizer--lots of famous guys/actors/artists are, but do have to admit he went out there and danced his heart out and made a life for himself doing so.
I like Jean's style so much more. 'Lord of the Dance' and the others are all very impressive but Jean manages to keep a bit more tradition in her work which I like. It shows in 'Riverdance' as she choreographed most of it. It's a shame her show with Colin Dunne wasn't as successful. 'Dancing on Dangerous Ground' was really amazing.
I agree. Whenever, I hear someone say they're the luckiest man in the world, I assume something isn't quite right. It was during this time he chased women like crazy.
I love the inexperience in this. They're so young and inexperienced in this, compared to later performances, and I find it endearing. Love it, thanks for uploading!
He sounds like the romantic type, but I heard his marriage to that woman was anything but idyllic. I heard that he cheated on her several times, and their marriage ended after slightly more than eleven years. I hope he's not like that anymore, especially that he has a son.
I would marry him after only two weeks of knowing him. :) You don't have to know him long to realize what a hard worker he is. He is doing only what HE wants to do and doesn't cowtow to anyone. That's so rare.
I've watched many clips on Michael Flatley and I must say he is an absolute gentleman and is very well mannered and polite - I could imagine him in the 1800's courting ladies he'd be very similar to Mark Darcy and well that's another story in and of itself lol
