Could've sworn I saw Hisoka grabbing his neck signifying that Fnatic choked at EWC. He also was pointing at them and laughing, then in the interview he proceeded to call them chokers and said they will be putting their key into their trophy. Pretty sure they'll be pretty relaxed on the trash talk.

I don't know about the live coms thing... Players have no clue when thats going on and to be fair a lot of them probably go on auto pilot and don't even really process what they're saying in the moment. Outside of the game stuff I totally get but if you're gonna have those rules don't do listen ins IMO.
I will simply say, Overwatch is and has not been worth watching because of how heavily it was policed. and getting rid of trash talking/teabagging outright killed the fighting game Killer Instinct's pro scene, and fighting games are probably the closest in presentation to the energy in Call of Duty.
I'm not surprised - the Saudis have no idea how to have fun. Same with all of Riot's garbage rules for League and Valorant - the Chinese also just want everyone to be boring robots, like them.
No one cussed during Overwatch. And the trash talk was nothing like cod trash talk lol. Really the only ones that talked trash was the Americans (go figure) and that was after beating the team from china which was revenge for the word cup last year.
