Matt here. I live in Surf City, NC and work for the Marines. This is my place to vlog about my Indian Scout Bobber, Photography, Tech stuff, Cigars, Bourbon, and chatting with my buds. I want this to be a fun hobby, and something to share with the world.
Looks good bro. I’m about to close on a bike. Either the Indian scout bobber twenty. Or the Indian scout rouge 60. It’s the 60 though. I like the full blacked out look best. But I feel I may regret not going full scout.
What you will regret is not just going ahead and getting a challenger. I outgrew my scout in 6 months. But it is an AMAZING bike. I loved it and still miss it. I don’t think you’ll miss much of the power of the rogue 60
I have the Paco in two tone black and dark brown on my Bobber. It's a good match to my comfort + seat. I'd like to know how you like the tomahawk bags.
High cost at £100 or more per lever and little no information about them while only weighing an estimated 288g compared to some £50 levers on Amazon that are 300g. Seems sus.
“You get what you pay for” I wouldn’t skimp on the things that “stop and go” the bike. But that’s me. They are really good quality. But it’s your money. Ride safe.
Beautiful bike man. Couple of questions for you: What color leather did you go with from Alex Leatherworks? Was it regular black or vintage black? Also do you have a link to the crash bars? I have 100mm free spirits extended reach and am looking for some that will work with it. When installing did you bolt them to the factory holes on bottom or using the two forward holes where the controls mount? Thanks!
I think it was the vintage leather for the color. Amazing quality in the seat and very comfortable. The crash bars I got off a guy on a forum second hand. So I don’t know what brand. But they bolted right up to the factory holes and the 100mm extensions didn’t interfere at all. Hope this helps!
Just picked up a crash bar and was curious if you used the original bolts or if you used the bolts that came with the crash bar? Wondering if the original bolts were long enough? Thanks in advance!
German tight! 😂😂 Def gonna consider this bag! I’d probably keep some emergency stuff like a tool kit and/or medical in it. My only concern is that if the bike is laid over, would everything get smashed?
Don’t know. Check out Ricky Bobber Moto. He just did a vlog About it. I had the mini apes put on before I picked her up. But most everyone says they are more comfortable and give it that classic bobber look! Good luck and ride safe!
I honestly don't remember the exact dimensions, but it was the second up from thinnest. I talked to them via email, and the thickness doesn't really add to comfort, just the look.. But I will say it is super comfortable. Did many 6+ hour rides with no issues, and I have a bad back!
@@darrenslater4601 yea, I couldn’t justify keeping both. The bobber was great to build and I do miss it dearly, wish I could have kept it. Maybe in a few years I’ll get a used bobber and turn it into a fender-less mean machine!
Sissy bar is 18” and I prob would go 20” if I did it again. Bags are ends cuio tomohawk bags for the scout bobber and the floorboards were some I found on Amazon, were like $50 for boards and pegs! Have held up great! I also put on the 100mm forward control extensions, so just about 4” more forward. At 6’1” it’s so comfortable for me. Semper fi!
I ordered the Rogue blacked out April 2022 and didn't get it until September 2022... lol love your bike. I'm considering getting the big bore kit for it just for shits and giggles.
Hell yea man! If I keep the scout I’ll prob do the bore kit and cams. We shall see. You’re going to love the bike. I literally just walked in from changing the oil and washing her down. Ready to ride this week!
Getting ready to PCS to Camp Pendleton and I'll be getting my first Scout Bobber. I'm excited to start modifying it and I appreciate all the education from your channel on this bike
Siemper Fi Marine. That bike looks good I have a Scout 60 2018 with plenty Mods. You might want to check out Ends Cuoio Middle Truck Seat holds you in when you get on it. I got the memory foam and can ride all day
Gidday Matt, got my first Indian ever after owning 43 different Harley's mine is a 2021 Bobber with ABS that I picked up new in May this year and have made several mod's to it which include Bassani slip ons, Indian sports air intake, mapped and tuned, 1920 seat, LED headlight, Combustion Industries turn signals, progressive front and rear suspension, fork gaiters, LSL levers etc, etc. Love the bike which is set up to ride through the many twisties that I ride through here on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne Australia (not Florida). Anyway your bike looks great and am enjoying watching your videos (great to hear that you are a man of science not superstition) and will look into getting the black bolt kit as mine is very much a blacked out bike and the shiny hex heads are a real let down. Anyway keep up the good work. Cheers, Warren
@@MattB13 Thanks Matt great to hear back and sadly Route 66 don't have the bolt kits on their site so am gathering they no longer do them, as for the outback the city I am in has roughly 5m people lol, albeit I live down in a more rural coastal part of the city so in it but not if that makes sense. Take care mate.
@@MattB13 Thanks Matt, just checked them out and went to order but sadly it didn't work so might have to call them tomorrow to see what can be sorted, have a great day!
My neighbors can get mad all they want. I don’t have loud pipes because it’s “cool”. They actually serve as another early warning signal for other drivers. Bright lights and loud pipes can help you avoid an accident.
Yes! Dadwithabike did such amazing videos. He will truly be missed. I have looked at them and can not, right now, justify the price. Maybe if I did a lot more longer rides. Maybe I’ll look at them again in the short future.
