The key initial task of the South Australian Mental Health Commission (SAMHC) is to lead the development of South Australia’s new Mental Health Strategic Plan which will look at how South Australians can strengthen their mental health and wellbeing and access quality care and support when needed.
The Commission is uniquely placed to work in strong partnership with people with lived experience and their families and carers, the community, service providers, clinical professionals, academic institutions and non-government and government sectors.
In all its work, the Commission is guided by the lived experience of people with mental illness and their families, loved ones and carers.
