So to recap: some time between next Thursday and Tuesday we may or may not get a rainstorm or a major hurricane or nothing, somewhere between Mexico and Tampa. That's so on brand for September 😂. On a serious note, I'm very interested in the European AI model's algorithm....it seems to be on point so far. Y'all stay safe! Thank you Max!
I dont want a strong hurricane to hit anybody but I'd love it to last long enough and come on up here to Ohio and give us a nice rain for a few days lol
It's most likely going to stay in the Gulf for some time before going on to land if the models are not showing you what happens. That's what it did last time when they weren't sure which direction it was going.
A lot of us east of Panama City, Florida still have PTSD from Michael. 8:20 I'd welcome a depression, or even a weak tropical storm. Nothing stronger, thank you.
Louisiana here. We got hit hard with hurricane Ida about 3 years ago. The government did not one thing for us after. Just got hit with hurricane Francine, and once again, no kind of assistance. Our house note over doubled because of the insurance rates. Please, no more!!! 😢
Now if is storm like Ian, where is going to go, no body knows. Because all this storms are very unpredictable. I've been living in fla for a long time and yes the smart thing to do is always prepare.
I will officially be a meteorologist in 8 months. There is currently no hurricane. It's likely that this will become a hurricane, but the magnitude is extremely uncertain.
This is the ultimate poker player of storms. You seem to have a pretty good theory on where it's going to go, but we don't know if it's holding a pair or a royal flush. It's keeping it's cards close. I hope classes are going well for you, Max. 💯✊
I appreciate it when you say you don't know. Many years ago a local, 20+ year weatherman said on the evening news that overnight we would have a storm so strong it would dump 10" of snow overnight and recommended we get everything ready ahead of time. So I got my snow removal stuff, warm clothes laid out and went to bed. Got up early to make sure I had enough time before work to clear off the car. Bundled up, opening the front door and - bright green grass. I wondered how he would explain it. That night he opened with "Well folks, it just missed us!". How the @#$% does 10" of snow "just miss" a huge metropolitan area? If he had said "there's a possibility" it would be different. He was insistent. I lost all trust in him that day.
One of if not the biggest reason I trust Max. He doesnt overhype or fear monger, just shows the different possibilities and the reasons behind why they may happen. Then he says what he thinks is most probable, but only if he has a good idea of why. And even then he always says its a possibility. And I haven't seen him be wrong yet, specifically because if he doesnt know he'll just say he doesnt know. I appreciate the transparency and honesty
@@dualistic6916 Yes to all of those things! I would add that he is often correct when (the #1 weatherman on YT) is not or is delayed with say info of a tornado. Love him but it happens. We can always count on Max to be here in emergencies. This past tornado season I was glued to his channel on the PC and the phone. I don't go through a warning without him!
