The points are not categorized as "standard". What makes this 1 bedroom standard? Just curious because I just booked a 1 bed here for Nov. My reservation doesnt indicate standard/water/deluxe? Thank you
Thank you for sharing. We joined DVC about a year ago and I haven't stayed here since buying in. Checking in April 16th and looking forward to seeing the "new" rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom about 10 years ago and we loved it!

My home DVC resort. My contract cites Jambo, but I actually prefer Kidani. Jambo definitely has the plus of two bathroom sinks vs Kidani's one, and the Jambo resort itself has many more food options and bars. And Jambo's gift shop is much larger with a better resort-specific selection of items. I'm not in favor of the 5th floor location for DVC at Jambo as I feel I can see the animals much better from the 2nd or 3rd floors, which you can only reserve at Kidani. Other pluses of Kidani is that the toilet is behind a separate door, and the entire bathroom area is larger. Kidani's parking is located beneath the building in the blessed shade with spots available below your section. But, the two buildings are only a brief walk or shuttle ride distant from one another, so it really just comes down to personal preference.
We agree with your comment. One of our home resorts is Kidani as well, and the rooms are definitely larger...the extra bathroom is a plus for sure. We do really like the ability to book and enjoy both resorts. We're curious how they will handle the new Poly tower, if you can book into both the new tower or the main resort. We'll see! Thank you for the comment and question! You only get a 7 month booking window for non-home resorts, so it can be difficult during the holidays for sure. That being said, it can be a bit easier for the larger room types because the studios are less points and in higher demand, so studios get booked up first. As you get to 2-BD and 3-BD, you'll be able to book a bit later. Good luck and have a great trip!
You are so right! I love the Paddock section. A lovely bridge walk to the Carriage House, just a short walk to Congress Park, then Disney Springs. Let us not forget the great pool & the Paddock Grill with a drink refill station. Paddock is the place!
I’m going too this hotel on the 13 not staying just going too use the pool just too get a little Disney in me without going too the park sooo Disney spring then hotel for the pool I can’t wait
This DVC room is categorized as a "Deluxe Studio - Standard View", which tend to offer fireworks views of Epcot if you ask for a higher floor. The "Preferred View" rooms tend to offer pool and lake view looking over the Caribbean Beach Resort. Both are very nice.
Thank you SO much for this! I'm staying at Saratoga in October and already made my grocery order for that time only to realize I forgot BREAD!!!! Which I planned on making PB&J sandwiches everyday to eat in the parks for a lunchtime snack. This was super helpful!

*Now, 6 years later, here I am, in a similar situation.* My first visit to a precious creation of my own, courtesy of the newfangled Zeppelinpunk era. *The Hollywood Tower Hotel.* Actually, it’s the first of *The Seven Wonders of the Zeppelinpunk World,* and more is expected to come. Even with a nasty virus having made a comeback and locking us all in for at least ten days to a month, we chose to remain optimistic instead of following along with the media’s idea that doom was right around the corner at that point. Yes, other bad events happened, but it was all part of a natural string of events year after year, millennium after millennium. Sure, I could choose the penthouse and live out much of my life in the luxury of a place that would rival Hotel Hollywood, but I was happy with the rustic dark-brown wooden house I had in Macon, complete with a decorated screen door for a front entrance. So naturally, I would choose floor 10; the highest floor for regular guests. Sure, it cost a lot, but my corporation has already amassed me money well past $100K, and so naturally it didn’t matter much if at all to me. But here I am, waiting on a glass park table, looking at the hotel in the distance, with my Harvest Goddess, Selena, Kathy, and Ellie dolls (you know, Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility, for Early Gen Z’s just like me; the Early Man of our time), just waiting on what I was destined for _all along: _*_Greatness._* True greatness. Something that anyone could achieve if they were willing to follow it-and of course, Jesus. *God bless you all.*
Indeed it's a bit underwhelming slide. I was really looking forward to the Reflections resort that had started construction before COVID between WL and FW...but I guess they've cancelled that and are building the new Poly tower
This video is so nicely done, great job! I booked preferred and I’m trying to get an idea of the layout to make a specific request. It looks like the preferred does not overlook the pool, so is #3 closest to that? Everything looks so amazing that I’m not sure I need to make any requests! Maybe just closer to the food would be nice haha
Hi AR! Thank you for the kind words! So, if you wanted a room that overlooks the pool, you'd want to book in Casitas 4 and request pool view, which are actually standard rate rooms. We stayed in a pool view room in Casitas 4 and really liked it. Casitas 2 or 3 preferred would be close, but you would want to request "near pool" because both are fairly large blocks of rooms, so you could be quite far from the pool. The types of requests we make depend on our objective for that trip, but we definitely make requests (1 or 2 requests) and Disney does a great job trying to accommodate them. If we're taking a park-focused trip, we might request "near elevator". If we're wanting more of a resort trip, we'll request "near pool"...and depending on your preference for room height, we request "highest floor" as they tend to be quieter and give you a better view...but many like to be able to walk right out their room, so "ground floor" might be better...so we typically make 2 requests...one for near the amenity or elevator, and the other for room height....but like you said, the whole resort is absolutely gorgeous and you can't go wrong...we even spent a several trips avoiding the Ranchos area because we thought it would be too far, but we finally booked there and fell in love...so every area has it's own charm...have a great trip! Let us know how it went!
