It's actually competitively priced in my opinion!! Customer Night Vision seems to have them in line with the other latest offerings, might be worth checking out if you're looking!
Matt is a beast and I love his input into shooting skills and how to practice, especially in our current environment of over saturated “tactics” being pushed out. Matt, Ben Stoeger and Nick from Velox have been a small but growing force pushing the practical training side of shooting and training, it’s refreshing and it has personally been the turning point in my training and many others. Keep up the good work guys, a really great conversation with an awesome guy and I subscribed a few minutes in.
Glad you enjoyed the discussion. We work very diligently to bring individuals like Matt to the table for insightful discussions, and valuable knowledge to share. Matt certainly has become a powerful influence within the community, adding his knowledge to existing ideas and perceptions to help those around him grow and advance in meaningful ways!
Nice I love my FCPC. I went with Agilite’s cummerbund though and am also trying Qore performance’s shoulder pads and am quite liking both so far. I did the same with the mag on the side also been trying the warrior poet multi hanger pouch from Hrt so I have a extra mag on the carrier and it really only took like two days getting used to it so can recommend. Good stuff bud
Not really anywhere close to an MK18. You have SBR's, not MK18ish rifles. Nothing wrong with an SBR. But just like in the military, you hear guys trying to impress the girls by saying, "well, what I do is just like the Infantry." When in fact they work in HQ processing payroll paperwork. So, everyone wants to be Infantry, until it's time to go do Infantry shit. So everyone wants to get views by claiming the "MK18" cred, until it's time to put up or shut up, and we find out, it's more of a safe queen SBR...
Well, in fact, one of these is literally a Daniel MK18 upper receiver, so I apologize, but I don't understand. Also, one of us was literally in the infantry. And while I really, really wish that any woman ever would be impressed by having done any of this (they usually aren't) I think it'd kind of just aside the point of the video which was just to explain how we set up our rifles. I hope you at least enjoyed the production though
On with your support thumb, off with you support hand index finger knuckle. Your challenges were because you don't understand how to operate the light.
Anyone who says 10.3 is dead has most likely never used one in combat. They serve a purpose and serve that purpose extremely well. Of course there’s going to be better ballistic options out there but at the end of the day it’s a personal preference on your weapon of choice. 10.3 will never be dead…
I love the QRF and the ability to switch to an MCMR quickly. The MK18 is cool but you can definitely see and feel the difference between a 10.3 and 11.5 suppressed. Still both very cool rigs!
Thoughtful review. I swear by their products. I keep backip irons on mine but their about 1/4th cowitness with my iron horse custom acro cut gen 2 Archon Type B. The lack of that narrow ACRO tunnel really allows for the concept of red dot shooting to really come through. The reason the ACRO has a a narrow window is because it utilizes older erector tube technology, and the dials dont act directly on the emmitter
The x300 switches are terrible. I tried 3 different ones to try and give them a chance, but the switches are so hard to activate that I'll never buy another one.
@@Prepared_Mindset_Pod the modlite pl350 is where it's at, unless you just have to have a momentary option. Not stupid hard to activate, not overly easy either, and very tactile activation. I really like it, but i also think the tlr1 hl with the arc switches might be the best full size light today. Still waiting on cloud to give us their pistol lights they teased years ago though
@@IDK_what_TO_call_IT_ I've had a few people recommend the PL350, but I've never been able to try one out and play with it. I'm also interested to see how the Cloud pistol light is when it hits the market, its been a few years now haha
The first guy is not based, warcomps fuck hard, why would I not gain that extra bit of performance on follow up shots, risers are gooner goober ghey, ALG ACT is a great trigger.
@@Prepared_Mindset_Pod risers have a niche use and they make things easier when you have a gas mask or you’re passive aiming but that being said you can still do those things with your normal 1/3 height optics. Where they get funky is your height over bore for in close shots and they alter your trajectory. The 50/200 is no longer true. Shooting through ports and barriers becomes more problematic as well.
This did more harm than good for a new buyer. Never trust advice from someone selling you something. Omni tubes are absolutely the best buy and secondhand market hurts this guy’s business. Everything he fluffs up is something he makes a big profit on. Most omni tubes are rejects for peppering because of stringent standards and not “gray market”. If you buy a photonis over an omni 8 tube you are ret@rded.
You're welcome to your opinion, but facts are facts. You don't get data sheets with omni tubes and you do with basically everything else. You'll know what you're paying for. And if you still think that little of the Photonis offerings, I'm wondering if you actually listened to what Duncan was saying throughout the discussion.
I recently purchased an HRT ARC belt setup as well and have NOT been disappointed! The strength and light weight materials are surprisingly good. I routed the strap for the male part of the bucle back through the inside of the sleeve and pined it with the sleeve's locking tab for a clean front. I elected for a Guardian Warrior Solutions Bang Hanger and Shaw leg strap adapter instead of the True North. Had a little trouble with trying to couple a mag on the rifle mag holder as the outer slots are cut in 1 in. Increments instead of 1/2 inch like the rear, but i made it work. The rifle mag holders insert doeant like metal GI mags and they hang, but polymer mags work great. Being left handed, I had to reverse the core of the belt so the curve fit correctly, and the back of the tegris is a little rougher than it would have been right side out. Not having the sleves on the rear i thought would be a problem, but no issues with lack of adhesion... I can un buckle the cobra belt and hop and it still holds. Thats a feat with a full loadout. Thanks for the review!
I started doing my cardio every night with my nods. Gets me about 5 to 6 hours a week under them. I was walking the same route every night anyway so i figured it was a great way to get comfortable fast. I live in BFE so there arent many houses or people around to wonder what the Hell is going on. Haha
It's definitely budget, but it runs well. The upper to lower mating/lockup is surprisingly fantastic as well lol. Nicer than most of my other rifles by quite a bit.
The problem that I have with the CQB craze is its fake. CQB isnt the flowy, flashy, choreographed stuff that the Insta SEALS are selling. Real CQB is Fallujah. It looks like whats coming out of Ukraine and Gaza. Bullets will rip through buildings and walls unlike the mud brick construction of Afghanistan. Its a blast to train, i get it, but its the absolute last case scenario i would put myself in. Overall, its a knowledge and base line skill that we should have, just like field craft and SUT.....like y'all mentioned. Id shit in a bag for years before i went 6 on 6 in a Walmart.😂
Its not ideal, but I hate that argument because none of any of this is ideal. Ideal is being able to walk away safely and avoid a conflict. For a lot of us in heavily urban area, the concepts and fundamental ideas behind CQB lend themselves well. Both indoors and outdoors. I get what you're saying though. The flow, the higher speeds, are a biproduct of dedicated teams of dudes training for hours and hours and hour. To your point, IG sells it to be a lot more than what it will likely be in reality. Perhaps that's a reason to do more of it with your training group?
@@Prepared_Mindset_Pod luckily, I'm on the other end of the spectrum. Was homesteading before it became a thing because that's how a bunch of us grow up where I live. I couldn't shoot the neighbor's house with a Cheytac it's so far away. I agree that it's a skill set a prepared dude should have. It's still a "no other option"choice for me even in a SHTF situation. Any engagement would be in reality. With a small group of people, losing one or two could have devastating repercussions. Hopefully this is all conjuncture and none of us ever face this.....that being said, I'm listening to your 2024 Minuteman episode next.
Appreciate that! We try to get some amazing and interesting folks on for conversations. We're blessed to be able to connect with truly exceptional individuals 🙏
It may add something minor, but not enough for concern. The ACRO and 509T run well and lots of guys are running these successfully already. I'll have more to share in a couple weeks though.
I saw these and I understand the purpose but I felt kinda weird about modifying my tailcap. The oem tailcaps themselves aren't really expensive, surprisingly ($40 everywhere). Maybe I'll get around to it, would be cool to see an aluminum version
