Really interesting Caroline. I enjoyed the sound track over the stills - very evocative. I struggled to read some of the subtitles in time on my phone.
Thanks. I agree about the captions. There's so much more to say but saying it in an engaging way is the thing. Marcu has written a lot himself and he gave me many of his views on agriculture, saying that food is much too cheap. He also explained how sheep dogs view their owners as the alpha male and the flock as his food supply. Is that right? But then he gave all his animals away.
@@carolinejuler interesting about what he says about his dogs. The shepherd as alpha would mean he has good control, and is, as I think you know, what I teach my clients to emulate. How he achieves that would interest me - it may not be in a kind way. The flock as food makes sense to me, especially if the dogs eat the lamb sometimes. There is sheep worrying, as our farmers call it, because dogs want to chase, and some then go on from there to kill because it's their instinct. If he isn't alpha, then the dogs would be likely to eat the ewes when they choose rather than when he chooses!
