My comfort games help me when I’m having trouble with my mental health they make me happy when I’m struggling with my depression and anxiety some of my comfort games are the original mass effect, sid Meier’s civilization revaluation, the dynasty warriors and samurai warriors games, the original Star Wars battle fronts 1 and 2 and Star Wars republic commando ,attack on titan 1 & 2, elder scrolls oblivion just to name a few
Can't forget Melee's credits. I had a competition with my friends on who could hit the most names, it lasted for so long. Until we each got all the names.
watched the video and loved it! interesting to see the difference between what constitutes a comfort game for different people!! my favourite comfort games are stardew valley and animal crossing!
Thanks for the kind comment! Hope you like the next videos Im working on. I do doubt 'millions' though but I appreciate your confidence ❤️

@@jaypotay Like seriously, I was surprised you don't have at least 10k subs. Your script and delivery and editing are very professional. Looking forward to seeing your new stuff :)
Man, this one is up there with the best video-game essays I've watched, fantastic job! Seriously, I wish you luck with your future ones, I've already gone ahead and given you a helping hand in the form of a subscription (and a like, aswell, hehehe)! Hoping to see you here again soon! :D
You've done so incredibly well, the quality of both the writing and the quality of the content and analysis you've put into this video. As @EMLtheViewer pointed out, you really do live up to the same quality of so many other creators like mossbag and game maker's toolkit who have subscribers in the hundreds of thousands or more. I was legitimately surprised when i looked down to see only 9 likes and only 10 subscribers. I congratulate the effort and work you've put into this video, i cannot wait to see what you create next.
This is something that I've been pondering over from time to time. It feels like the design sensibilities in regards to how much video games dare to ask of the player has changed drastically over the past two decades. I've always just assumed that as video games has grown as an industry, more casual participants have become involved, and so game developers have needed to tailor their products to suit the needs of those who aren't willing to expend the same manual effort. I really miss that magical feeling of starting up the original Legend of Zelda, and being given no instruction at all. Just a world to explore at my own leisure. To be fair, I'd probably prefer at least some direction, and I think Breath of the Wild does indeed strike a better balance. This is even a modern game (relatively), but I'd say this is more the exception than the rule. But more-so than just wishing for less navigational guidance, I'd prefer to simply have less hand-holding period, in all facets of a given game. But if anything, it seems like things are trending towards the opposite direction. Anyway, great video. I wish you luck in your content-creation adventure.
You make some great points. I definitely think a lot of contemporary AAA games are tailored towards a more 'cinematic' experience and that seems to lean towards putting the player on more of a track than an open plain to go explore in. I will always respect game designers and developers who try to point you in the right direction in unconventional ways 100%. It's nice to feel smart for working it out. Games like Tunic have me making real life notes to help with progression and that sort of unwillingness to spell it all out is great to me. Also tunic seems to be a love letter to the old legend of Zelda games so it tracks how much I enjoy it! Thank you for your comment btw! I really appreciate it ❤️
Getting lost and just bumbling around in a vast world is one of the best feeling ever, keeping your head on a swivel for secrets or new paths that could emerge, when you do these things without even thinking about it, that’s one of the biggest compliments you can give a game (in my opinion)
i loved playing outer wilds and being able to explore on my own terms! i loved how you could use the signal scope to hear your friends even in the depths of space so you don’t feel as alone
I agree completely, getting lost in a game and finding like a rare item is always a good feeling. Playing through Morrowind recently really helped me realise how taken for granted world design really is, you should give it a play if you haven't! 🎉
