The government will never give a damn about what you do as long as: 1) You pay your tax 2) You don't overthrow the government And if you "succeed" in sports/work/life they exploit and use you for their agenda....

Mr. Swanson is my soul mate! I agree with all his positions on all the matters that are brought up, but all this is supposed to be a comedy show? I don't get it!
Does anyone ever wonder why Ron's 3rd favorite food is Shrimp? He doesnt live near an ocean. He's not fond of seafood. He loves red meat. Why would shrimp be his 3rd favorite? Please help me
So many libertarian idiots thinking the "liberal elites" tried to mock libertarians with Ron Swanson. At least try to google before you spew garbage all over the place. The only ones making libertarianism look bad are the ones falsely claiming the creators of this character had any narrative beyond comedy.
It's hilarious that people think his views are anything but ridiculous. He's an extremist libertarian and if you spend enough time on the internet you know that means his argument against the FDA existing would be exactly : "After enough people or get horribly sick from consuming a specific product, people would catch on that it is a bad product and avoid it." And then other people get the privilege of dying or getting horribly sick from the next shitty product. And then the next one. And the next one. That's not mentioning the products which nefarious effects take years to manifest, those gets to poison millions of people before being inspected.
As I never watched Parks and Recreation it took me a while to realize that Leslie was actually the main character of the show. And then I realized, the best parts are probably already on RU-vid under 'Ron'.
This is what people don't seem to get. A lot of Ron's best moments, and the moments Ron seems happiest in, are when he temporarily abandons his traditional type of masculinity and stops taking himself so seriously. Ron laughs like a child when excited, he's fine with dressing up as a princess or whatever.
