@@AmaLeigh_ I stayed there the whole day. I would stop and go. I would pack a lunch and take in the views. I would begin early (to find parking) and then come back mid afternoon. Depending on your fitness, everyone is different. The website has 4 hours to complete. The length is roughly 9.5 km. Hopefully this helps.
@@AmaLeigh_ you have the option to explore it. You do not have to do the ladder on the RU-vid thumbnail. However, there is a ladder portion on the trail. Nothing like the ladder on the picture
@@MeliOmidWalk just a heads up, if you want another viewpoint of the Cathedral, visit during sunset. The colour of the Cathedral will have you in awe 🫢
Spent a lot of time there camping in the 70s and 80s. No electricity on A road, no water. Used to be a tent camping spot on the point where there is parking now. Lot of good memories there during Blueberry Fest
2024-September 3 - 22: Access to Blackcomb Gondola and PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola only. Day pass $99 Season Pass $ 155 Parking is by paid parking meter. Calculate $30 for parking. I honestly don’t know. Prices can change due to inflation. Hope this helps
Great video of the hike! I’m heading up to Whistler in a bit and this one has been on my to-do list. Looks like it’s a pretty straightforward route and well-signed. And the views! Damn :) Looking forward to this one!
Beautiful area. Camped there many times over 25 years ago. I remember how the lake level would be so high sometimes the beach would completely disappear. And climbing Goat Lookout 😂
Great video but, all of you are visiting predominantly coastal Croatia which I do get to some point but, folks, this is only one half of Croatia while the other half comprises of also beautiful and very different continental regions! This country has a whole lot more to offer than just very crowded Adriatic places! For the starters, there's magnificent and often overlooked capital city of Zagreb that is full of amazing old and modern architecture, history, mesmerising ancient streets, major attractions, interesting vibe, quirky and world class museums, many astonishing city parks and greenery, great cuisine... Zagreb also has 900 meters high mountain where you can come by walking, bycicle, car, bus, modern cable car with stunning views, two amazing recreational artificial lakes, grand museum of modern art, Medvedgrad castle... Also in continental Croatia you'll find magical and beautiful baroque era city of Varaždin, amazing medieval castles like Trakošćan and Veliki Tabor, Kumrovec - interesting and picturesque open air ethno museum - village with preserved traditional Zagorje region architecture and museum of Josip Broz Tito birthplace, ... There's also Star shaped Karlovac old city centre, Sisak triangular 16th century fort, old towns of Samobor, Čakovec, Đurđevac, ... In eastern Croatia you'll also find amazing places: city of Osijek - beautiful destination at the Drava river with amazing old town in baroque star shaped fort, Slavonski Brod - city with grand star shaped fort, beautiful old Franciscan monastery, amazing Sava river promenade and large central square encircled with beautiful old Habsbourgs empire era buildings, beautiful town of Požega with famous nearby Kutjevo vineyards, small town of Đakovo with ornate old cathedral and renowned Lippizan noble horse stables, medieval Ilok with interesting walls, palace and vineries with some world class vines (some of them were served at the Great Britain Royal coronations!), Vukovar for it's huge historical importance during the 90s Croatian war of independence, with several great museums, Baranja region beautiful old villages and amazing food and vines, Kopački rit nature park, Papuk nature preserve... And this is still not the full list since it would be so hard to make a complete list of all interesting places that certainly deserve to be visited!
Hallo, schönes Video, ich kenne Novalja sehr gut. Toll finde ich, das du die Cam runter schwenkst wenn dir Leute entgegen kommen. Schön das es noch so anständige Menschen gibt. 👍
Nice video, very helpful! We will be in Vancouver for 48 hours in August so we’re considering this. Also saw your videos from the Dolomites! We stayed at BnB in Cortina in October ‘22. What a magical place those mountains are! Your video brought back a lot of great memories!
Thanks for commenting. Joffre Lakes you will love. Cortina still holds a special place in my heart. I wish you the very best. Stay safe out there. Godspeed

I cannot give you an answer. Best way is to call to make sure. I picked up ice in Pemberton on my way there. Birkenhead Lakes is remote and roughly 1 hour north of Pemberton. I wanted to make sure that I brought everything with me before I left.
Thanks for the video and the information. Just got a question regarding the date that you recorded this video. Is it still buggy around Labour Day weekend first weekend of September?
It all depends on the Campsite you pick. Stick with Campsites 48, 49, 50, 51, or 93 and you should be okay. I will make a video of Campsites of Nairn Falls Campground to give you an idea shortly, within a months time.
This hike is definitely worth doing. Highly recommend it. Definitely on my bucket list to complete the summit. Weather does change drastically. Same weather pattern when I did High Note Trail on Whistler Mountain. Thanks for posting
The location of the campsite is situated nicely. Close to all amenities and Whistler! I will be releasing another video of campsites from Squamish to Birkenhead Lakes Provincial Park in the near future for those interested in the great outdoors!
I did Joffre's last summer so was looking for a video for my friends so they could prepare for the hike this season. Out of hundreds of the joffre hike videos on utube that hardly give any true idea about the elevation and the trail, i finally found this one video that is exactly the true picture of what to expect! Thank you for making this video and the details!!
@@Kenkoopa44 should be fine if they r cardiac healthy:). Have seen kids and moms carrying kids hiking to the lake. I would normally go to lake 2 only. Goimg to 3rd has some rocky patches on the way but the view- though pretty as it is glacier lake, doesnt beat the second lake so u dont miss much if u stay at lake 2.
