The distance from edge of concrete to edge of reinforcing steel should be at least 40-mm. The allows any penetrating moisture to increase in pH, to a high enough level that red, flakey rust can’t form, and any corrosion is a black oxide which is chemically stable, and doesn’t expand.
Well I guess one good thing is you don't really need siding if it's a concrete walled house.. just slap on a roof.. but ... idk I would rather just do the footing and foundation with these blocks not the whole house. Concrete is cool, and cold to the touch. Oh maybe if I was building in lahaina!
Amazing how people are ready and willing to advertise their utter stupidity instead doing a few minutes of research. Oh and if any of the houses in Lahaina were made of this, they're still standing, too. Especially if they used an ICF and steel roof.
