Neither of those are cognitive dissonance The former is addiction, the latter is adhd. Cognitive dissonance is when someone would tell you that Muhammad and Islam mistreat women, but through your indoctrination you rebuke them. Despite knowing the sunnah
@chemicalsurrealist
@chemicalsurrealist Месяц назад
Addiction and adhd are the conditions, but in this video that is not the topic. The video is purely talking about the inner voice of that person who upon hearing something against his constructed accumulated mental frame find resistance and exhibit dissonance. A fine example can also be seen in your comment.

Further reading: Arthur Schopenhauer, Søren Kierkegaard and Friedrich Nietzsche further expanded on these ideas, and Nietzsche, particularly, has become a major figure in existential nihilism. With Kierkegaard, the concept of absurdism was developed, which explains the concept of humans trying to find meaning in a meaningless world. The atheistic existentialist movement spread in 1940s France. Jean-Paul Sartre's Being and Nothingness and Albert Camus' The Myth of Sisyphus discussed the topic.[1] Sartre and Camus expanded on the topic of absurdism. Camus wrote further works, such as The Stranger, Caligula, The Plague, The Fall and The Rebel.[6] Other figures include Martin Heidegger and Jacques Derrida. In addition, Ernest Becker's Pulitzer Prize-winning life's work The Denial of Death is a collection of thoughts on existential nihilism.

Why would you need predetermined purpose to find meaning in life. You are a sentient being so pick one for yourself

Your purpose in life is to worship God it's all a test from the most Merciful will you worship him or your whims and desires

Now that's depressing. You have all of eternity to worship God if heaven is real. So why not enjoy your life for yourself on the chance that the atheists are right and God doesn't exist?

In one line, author writes "The first mistake is never the one that ruins you. It is the spiral of repeated mistakes that follows. Missing once is an accident. Missing twice is the start of a new habit." YOU BECOME WHAT YOU THINK.. I really like the books you recommend Farah ,keep going💪
