Even if the game is unapologetically liberal, i think its cool that the studio allows unheard voices to make a game. Its the same studio that made Detroit Become Human, so the leftist themes dont surprise me Its a $30 game heavily inspired by telltale's story choice system. Im a pretty open minded guy so ill check it out when i can afford it
Wierdly, I'd hire every member of the actual asset development team. It's a good looking game, it's just a crying shame that that's the game they made.
@@cptncutleg I am not a fan of the style, mainly because I think people use cell shade too much and it should be used in specific cases, but I can say the majority of the characters look good from the model aspect.
@@dermywermy080 cel-shading is super-cheap in terms of compute cycles, and can make some really great and vibrant pieces, and it can turn otherwise unimpressive models into something phenomenal

The problem isn't that being the focus or even the sole focus but that it was performative more than focusing on making a good show with those values. Genshin is /not/ made for an specifically asian audience. It was always designed to be global and you can tell from the story. There are so many things in the game that are straight up against what the CN government would allow and the CN + JP player-bases to an extent have the same ideology. The meta theme is that they're sick of pandering to that audience (that has constantly ratted them out to the government in the past) and want to be free to tell their story. You clearly don't know anything about the game.

@@dermywermy080as a chinese person and a genshin player, the game was never made specifically for the Asian market only. They very much don't comply with the cn government policies (such as including same sex relationship themes) in the game. There's a reason why they constantly sponsor western youtubers and promote the game heavily in English, even including English VA whilst their other OLDER games (hi2 hi3) did not include such things. Gendshin was always made with the global audience being the target market as they wanted to expand overseas.

Take Manga as an example, they aren't made for a global market they are made specifically for an Asian market first, same with Korean games, and so on and so forth. The reason Genshin is popular is because they make the game for themselves first, which is a Asian market.

I'm a Genshin player. And since last 2 in-game surveys, I've been writing suggestions about replacing kujou takayuki, june yoon, anne yatco, khoi dao, zeno robinson, *valeria rodriguez* , jenny yokoboring, alejandro saab and allegra clark ASAP. While I don't use english voice , but as a regular battle pass and welkin user, I'm not happy to see my money to be a part of their salary.

I don't think these game are going to do well and it will have nothing to do with Japan or the main character of AC shadows, It will be because of the repetitive gameplay loop and buggy graphics. As for Outlaws the main character being ugly will only be a small part of why it fails, the price, the locked content needing a D+ subscription, and the extremally boring looking gameplay will kill it, It might have gotten away with the first few things I mentioned, if the protagonist wasn't butt ugly it may have gotten away with the price and the gameplay loop but Star Wars outlaws has nothing going for it.
The show sucked ass and was poorly written with simple mistakes. But it's our fault why the show got canceled 😂. Maybe if the show was made by people who care about Star Wars and not worrying about pushing stupid BS and people actually watched, there would have been a season 2. But love all Disney Star Wars fans crying 😂
