That is 1993 Power Morpher custom restoration perfection! If I ever bought myself one, I'll do precisely the same. You did an excellent job ^^ No bias or nitpicky here, but I wouldn't say that the Morphers up till now; the 1993/DX, Legacy, and Lightning collections are the perfect Power Morphers. Custom-made ones have come close so far, but my picture/vision of an ideal Power Morpher would be like this: 1. The Morpher bulkiness & thickness should be like the 1993 version. It also needs to make the holder like the Legacy & Lightning version has but it can fit 1993-style Morphers. 2. The back side of the Morpher should be like the Lightning version but with the Legacy version's colors. 3. The plating could be like the 1993 or Legacy versions with "Power Rangers" letters in the red circle. 4. The circuitry, sound system, light effects, and inner plating should be like the Lightning collection (cause I do like the voice actors, the light effects, and the inner plating's detail). Still, I would keep the voice actor as a secondary switch menu while the primary switch menu should be the morphing sound and music theme like the Legacy version. And keep the power coin reading function. 5. The power coins should be the Lightning collection cause I like the Power Ranger helmet motif on the back of the coin. That's what my version of a perfect Power Morpher is like. The same goes for the Master Morpher as well. The Lightning collection are fantastic and have better sound quality, but two downsides are that when I want to morph, I would like to say the phrase rather than let the voice actor say it. The Morpher are way too bulky and thick, which can be slightly heavy to hold. The Legacy Morphers are great cause they're quite show-accurate. But the downside is the coin itself can often come out of the Morpher or turn around whenever we move around, and it's a hassle to rearrange the power coin to its correct position. 1993/DX Morphers, to me, is nearly perfect. Looking at it, it's lighter and thinner than the Lightning collection and probably the Legacy Morpher. The downside is that the Morpher is upside down, and the sound quality could be better.
its ok if u didntlike lost galaxy or anyhting for that matter lost galaxy was a huge turning point in pr history with how zordon was gone and all the original cast memebers gonea swell aside of alpha
@AlmostCountsCollectibles To make a custom Katherine Pink MMPR auto-morphin you simply twist their heads to face right or left and once in that position you just pull one side up in a prying position almost as if you're trying to break it off. It turns out they're on a rubber peg so the heads pop right off and the Katherine head from the Zeo figure does the same thing and fits back onto the MMPR figure good & snug. The Kim head, in order to fit onto the Zeo peg, will need to have the hole for the peg slightly carved out on the inside on the front & back sides, but definitely not the outer part of the hole. I figured it out through trial & error since I never could find any instructions online. It looks great. Be careful not to scrape the paint though. I have to touch up the neck on mine.
5:33 Fun fact: that Fox Kids' deco for Cheetor did appear in the first episode of Beast Machines, just before he got reformatted by the Oracle. Compare that version of his character model to how he showed up in Season 1 of Beast Wars.
12:31 When you do I'd enjoy seeing a how-to video of you doing this if that's something you wouldn't mind doing. I never had the auto-morphin Zeo figures when I was a kid, but did have the better looking ones in this video. Had all except for White in the MMPR line. I have all of them now. As a collector that favors vintage over new these were must haves for me. I have quite a few new ones now including the retro-morphin figures and a mix of Lightning Collection and Super7 Ultimates villains & Rangers, but I'm especially collecting the 6" & 7" Mighty Morphin villains that they never made back in the day in the 5.5" scale. (Rita, Rita's Putties, Finster, Scorpina, wingless Goldar) The best part is, if they never release Squatt & Baboo in the Ultimates or LC, the '90s 8" figures match pretty well with the 7" Ultimates if they're placed not too close together in the display.
I'm now interested in finding out how to switch the civilian heads to make a Mighty Morphin Kat auto-morphin figure. I have the zeo set of 6 auto-morphin rangers, but I'm afraid to try to take it apart for fear of ruining them.
God, I Miss Jason David Frank So Much, Just as Much as I Miss Joseph Mascolo (A.K.A Stefano Dimera, Days of Our Lives), also I too Just Love VR Troopers (R.I.P Gardner Baldwin), Masked Rider, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, Big Bad BEETLEBORGS, BEETLEBORGS METALLIX, Superhuman Samurai SYBER Squad (That has a Young Matthew Lawerence). Amazing Job sir!!!! At 11:45, I liked the Plastic Fork lol you could also use something called Kapton Tape, it protects against Heat and prevents shorting from electrical components such as that capacitor there. Also brilliant job on the paint application. Looks gorgeous all around!
I'm surprised I never had these as a kid. I definitely had a bunch of the MMPR ones, but I can't even remember seeing Zeo (or later seasons) versions of them in stores for sure. The Zeo figures I remember having were the ones with the weapon swinging motion gimmick (had blue, red, gold, pink, and I think yellow of this type), and the oddball ones that could transform into their zords (I know I at least had the green one from this set, maybe also the blue one... I imagine they probably at least made a red too, but probably not pink/yellow since their zords were the "tank" type ones?)
I don't think that's an original seal on the 'Day of the Dumpster' one. I'm collecting that set sealed and the original seal should have a 'PolyGram Video' stamp on it. Awesome collection though.
