Thanks to the helmet's protection, it's too common that Kudo players don't have proper guard. Kudo is amazing and likely the best Karate style in terms of fighting, but the helmet - although necessary - bring issues.

It’s different. Japanese Jujutsu is a martial art similar to MMA but mainly for realistic scenarios and for destruction rather than a sport. Jujutsu was used by the Samurai.

Jujutsu is not judo, it created Judo and Judo created Brazilian JiuJitsu is mainly ground game. Jujutsu involves Judo, Aikido, Krav Maga, Karate, Brazilian JiuJitsu, etc. Brazilian doesn’t contain striking while Jujutsu involves all types of strikes. I study martial arts arts and learn a lot about them and I know is a lot about many different martial arts. Further more, Judo and BJJ both don’t have strikes and Jujutsu is both stand up and involves a lot of ground game.

Jujutsu is the father art of judo and Aikido and so forth .. and the grandfather Art of BJJ .. which means judo is bjj dad .. but japanese jujutsu is the original ..

This was created way before mma came about .. which was called sport jujitsu in 1980s way before mma started it ended in the United States in the 90s
