Bought mine just over 30 years ago still working great & only upgraded to 3 TXID’s when they first came out because I wanted a receiver Delkims are the very best bite alarms on the market by a mile my opinion & UK made 👍🏻 Not the usual Chinese rubbish that the other tackle company’s churn out different versions of every year..
Love the "D" lock system. I bought at the same time as the Nitelite hanger set, which I also love, they have now replaced my Solar kit (I hope that Locky does not read this 🙂). love you alarms too. Keep up the good work 👍 The only issue I have is that since I fitted the snag bar kit to my TXI plus alarms the hard cover is too tight.. not really an issue though as I have one of your hard cases..!
Not a fan of the buttons for the tone settings, much preferred the original dial, but then I am an old codger. However I do much approve of the smaller antenna
After spending many years constantly upgrading/re-engineering my old Heron's to no avail (those were the days when we had to make everything ourselves). Anyway I finally bought a pair of the first Delkim's (missed the Optonics step) and in over 20 years use they have been faultless, despite some very wet conditions, that is, until a few days ago when I managed to drop them in the lake. When I finally managed to retrieve them they were soaked through and not happy bunnies.. As I found out that you no longer supply spares etc for these, I went home and picked up a pair of my TXI plus alarms (which I use for long sessions) and put the soaked ones on the radiator (with the battery removed ). The next morning I was amazed that they were working ok again. I would never consider any other alarm other than Delkim I think they are so well made, reliable and British. I now 2 ("resurrected" 🙂 originals) and 5 TXIs, plus receiver. Which I feel will all outlive me. All the best Del, I love your story and the fact that you are truly a family business. Tight lines
Difficult for my ocd has i like all my alarms exactly the same tone & once you've changed 1 its a right chore to get them all the same, 64 is a bit overkill & not really necessary, better with anout a dozen & a slower sequence when scrolling through. Just my preference & everyones a critic😅
If when you turned it on the Purple LED was flashing then it was in pairing mode and needed to be paired with your alarms? Suggest a new battery and try again.
I have them for about a year and my receiver is broken even when I turn my receiver of it still eats battery en most of the time he doesnt even work he sounds a bit strange when he works when i turn the volume up or down somtimes it dont even make a beep when a try it any ideas?

You set the response as high as possible without getting false indications. You then adjust the beep speed ideally so the warble only kicks in when you get a run.
The receiver is not muted. This is for security reasons as anyone could mute the alarms and take your alarms and unless you saw the flashing lights you'd have no idea it had happened.
