Thank you man , to think that poeple can own sections of the river and to think thete acually stingy enough to not want people around or fishing thr area . These are the same people who complain about thw youth abd vilance in are area but will kick the kids out when they find a hobby they enjoy. Its actually insane
No problem. Yes, I don't understand either. I actually like it when people roll up on me at my fishing spots. I tell them they are welcome to fish with me and even offer them baits and lures if they need them. Fish on! Tight lines 🎣
@@fishtherapy247 that’s pretty cool man , some kids and I did the same thing today it was very useful and I personally enjoyed the company and sure he did to cause we got skunked 😂
Close to the banks with a small hook and weight, cut nightcrawler in half. You will catch split tail and blue gill mybe even bass. The split tail and blue gill are striper candy!
Nice day on the river looks really good look me up when you head over to the coast for striper fishing on the beach santa Cruz to Monterey is best half moon bay Pacifica haven't fished bodega bay some day soon FISH ON
@fishtherapy247 I fished Pacifica for years go to the pier parking lot the walk south to the left on the beach all the way to the end where the rockie point plug the surf just over the breakers watch the water for Cutts and holes where that water is flat cast over it past the next breaker Fish On
No,i haven't. I want to try Tomales Bay sometime, though. Sweet, it sounds like you guys had a blast. That's a lot of striper in 15 mins crazy. Nice work
Lake speed limit 5 mph the lake is feed folsom lake and runs off into the American river. You can catch bass and trout there. A kayak is best on this lake
@@fishtherapy247 man o man you gotta get them cats ? They got big giant channels there ! My girl caught a 27 lb catfish there ! Yep is was a channel cat ! Caught it trolling a blue fox like a quarter ounce !
Bunch of school size shakers are terrible to catch, go fish by Sherman island and have a good chance to catch a big fish and circle hooks are good for long lines but not so much for striper fishing
Thanks, man! I was checking out your videos. You make some awesome videos yourself. Haha, catfish are fun. I need to go to Sherman Island next time for some striper and large mouth
Thank you! I was planning on going up to Sherman in the boat from Sandy Beach, but the water was too choppy to go full throttle. Next time i will go there. Thanks for the update
Brother, great video. You do good work and keep us up on the current action. I notices you have a casting rod with a spinning reel. You do that for a reason? I'd file off that trigger if I were you. That would irritate me to know end. Stay safe, tight lines man!
Thank you. It's my old faithful iv had that rod for a long time. That is how I bought it. I never noticed the trigger nub. No, it doesn't bother me. Thanks again, tight lines
They should give a full credit for everyone who bought a sturgeon card this year! California Fish and Game Commission is a freaking joke. I wish I could sue them! I hope people/guides start Suing them. Mybe that will get their attention! The fishermen are not the problem, as they say.
Just an extension of the war on evil fisherman by the California Coastal Commission Nazis. I'm from Santa Barbara County. These people worked for over 40yrs to close surf FISHING. After using the so-called endangered snowy plover they had to open fishing for a few years then used the tactics via VAFB & federal to declare certain portions of the coast by declaring the regions as 'Marine Preserves'. The kicker is...active duty military personnel, plus their friends, are allowed to fish these areas. Civilians are not...look up Surf Beach California for more details.
They sure are acting like nazis with too much power. Wow, how unfair is that. The question is, what can we do? People who love fishing in california and have enough money to sue the california fish and game commission! No more salmon now, no sturgeon fishing? Don't you think they would figure out that the fishermen aren't the problem by now??
What size hook do you use are you sardines in that s*** don't work but my dad swears by it I think it's because I don't have a big enough hook! My go to Hook size is 4 to 6
@joannenams6298 Awesome! The delta is best right now for bigger striper, but you can still catch shakers (small striper) on the sac river. You are close to the American. i don't know any spots on the American river it pretty shallow in most of the river. Sandy Beach in the delta sand cove park on the Sac Miller, Discovery Park, or Broderick boat launch care there may be homeless people at those locations. Also, Clarksburg is a good spot. Look for rocks or sand bars. Those are good spots. Early morning is best. Try using nightcrawlers or anchovies for bait. Lures you can try a 7" plastic worm or crawl, or jerkbait, and top water are good in the early morning or the afternoon.
Another tip: Freeze and wrap (bait string) your anchovies, sardines or whatever at home. So you don't make a mess trying to wrap things by the bank. It's easy to wrap the bait frozen, just don't pull on it too much when wrapping. It makes less of a mess at the bank when you have all your bait pre wrapped at home. If you want the bait to last for 4 hours still frozen then bring 2 icepacks and a small cooler and sandwich your wrapped bait between the 2 icepacks. This keeps the bait frozen long enough until you toss it in the river. This is very effective especially when fishing in 85-90 degree weather as it prevents the bait from falling apart quickly while allowing the fish to locate your bait.
Just a tip: if your pyramid sinker has an eyelet on the pointy side, use that side to attach to your weight line so even if your sinker gets stuck, you'll be able to pull it off the rocks.
just a comment about offset circle hooks. seems many areas, not here...yet, offset circles are no longer OK to use. For example we can't use offsets fishing for sturgeon . They have to be not only barbless circle but also non-offset (aka inline/perfect circle). anymore I double check given how riles seem to change houly...ugh
