I can't remember if it is ptosis or dropsy that made me post such entirely fraudulent crap to r/DIY that one time, but, either way, I blame TnS for corrupting my literature on such a fundamental level.
Aryana M well thats what im thinking, but i just dont know, because theres a video where Kaki mentions two other ex girlfriends, its all super confusing to me lol
Blake Reed Same, I just looked it up. Would you like me to link you to what I read? I read that she broke Tegan's heart, but people are saying she dated Sara..
Thanks to 9:10 now I actually want Tegan and Sara to do a comedy sketch where Tegan wakes up straight one day and they make it look like a fake 1950s monster movie with the histrionic text and the dramatic music, but all she's really doing is walking around in heels and stuff. But maybe they're too mature for that now. Dammit.
"But, who says that? Like, 'come here, encircle me!'" I'm gonna start saying it now! And couldn't they have said, "Wrap your arms around me, take me down"? Not that I don't like "Encircle me", I love it, it's one of my favourite lyrics! I'm just wondering!
it is a way more difficult to play tight and groovy in a slow tempy than like a "frickle-brother" by 200 bpm . she has a oustanding "internal clock" and great "air" in his approach, absolut great baaplayer...
Well, she just tried to play some songs... But far from bass solo. James Jamerson played more in every song. Ok, maybe not good comparsion...There are good female bass players though, she is just not one of them...
It's sad that people have to attack her, really just because she's so beautiful and simultaneously undeniably competent. The whole bass dork thing really comes down to superficial athleticism anyway, which is the opposite of what excellent players should strive for: to serve the song and the groove; to create lines that are not only the perfect complement to the song, but also worlds unto themselves; micro-compositions within the macro-composition. It's a drag that music sometimes gets brought down to the level of sports, how fast someone can play and all of that garbage. In the end, it's the emotional form: what aesthetically results from that particular organization of pitch and rhythm, that matters. The rest is trivial. Arturo Sandoval can play circles around Miles Davis, but it just doesn't have the subtlety of expression. Musicians should pursue timeless forms and forget hollow technical displays, and the public should deepen themselves to perceive the more essential aspects of music. I would begin by restructuring the public schools to make music of equal importance to math and language, because it is ultimately the most important educational tool of all, with cross correlations to so many other things. But alas, in a materialistic culture, we deny the intangible and emphasize physical survival above the survival of spirit, resulting in bodies housing dead souls.. This is a tragedy producing meaninglessness and random shootings, for example. When the spirit dies, the animal reigns. The animal part of human nature is undeniable and cannot be ignored, but it must be tempered by and synthesized with the flight of the soul. Music therefore embodies the saving grace of a profound integration, of high and low, earth and ether, male and female. Music, to quote Thomas Mann is "ambiguity as a system". One way to describe current society is as a psychological defense against ambiguity.
