Bro, I installed the game but when I enter the controls it doesn't work, the character doesn't move. Do you know if I should do something before starting to play?
I redownloaded it to check. When I spawned in a prompt came up on the screen until I selected a option I could not move. If you don't see the prompt try reinstalling the game. You could also try the community controller layout called "The rest don't work use this and a keyboard 4 advanced" . This uses the keyboard layout for the game It may work for you if the controller option is not working
Currently I can't download the game to check as my Internet is having issues. But after checking online for you people had it working with Proton 8.0-3. So I would try that version and see if it fixes the issue
My internet is finally fixed and I was able to download the game. they seem to have completely broken the game recently by turning off the servers. I can't get it to boot at all no matter what I do. Until they fix it I think unfortunately it is broken on PC. I am going to change the title to say this game is broken. I am so sorry I could no help at all.
I bought this on humble bundle and some textures were all over the place on my steam deck where the lava in one part was just this very bright light and dont know how to fix it and even in the main menu like streaks of this white light all over the screen
You need to use GE-Proton9-4. To get the textures to work properly. To get it you need to go to desktop mode and use the discover store to install ProtonUp-Qt. That software will let you install custom versions of proton made by glorious egg roll find GE-Proton9-4 in that software and install it. Then set the game to use that version of proton in the compatability tab in the properties menu of the game in steam. That should fix the issues. @@HumbleBumble23 I did do the steps in the video and with either GE- Proton 9-11 thats the newest version tried it with that didnt work then I scaled down to 9-4 and same result soo I just uninstalled the game for now
There is one other way to fix the issues. You can use ProtonTricks. you can find the app in the discover store in desktop mode. Once installed select the game you want to modify and press OK This will open a new window. Then in that new window select the option called select the default wineprefix. Then press OK. A new window will open. Select Install a Windows DLL or component and press OK In the new window that opens find the option called d3dx9_41. Select it then press OK. It should then install after it is done (It only takes a split second) You will be taken back to previous menu. At this point just keep pressing the Cancel button and that will close ProtonTricks Then reboot to game mode a start the game. You can use the newest version of proton at this point. The issue should be fixed Hope this helps.

If you are on a Steam Deck then use the Template mapping of Keyboard (WASD) and Mouse. If you are not go into settings on steam and find controllers. There you should see a option called Enable Steam Input For "Your Controller Type". After you toggle that on you should be able to access Controller in the steam overlay for that game and set the template to Keyboard (WASD) with Mouse.
No matter what i cant get this game to work on steam deck. The videos will go blank or stay on no signal. Tried updating GEProton, running in desktop mode, nothing works. If it works for a few minutes itll just be broken by the next segment.
FINALLY! Some damb overlay stats on this game! 20W-26W for 720p "mid" settings is RLY bad. The game is in dire need of some optimization. Think I'll permanently pass on this one If I can play Sekiro at max settings with a solid 60 and only pull 17W-18W, there's no reason a game like this should be significantly more demanding than a AAA
I redownload the game and I was able to get it to boot fine. There may be a problem with your download. I would suggest redownloading it if you still have issues try using ProtonUp-QT to install GE-Proton9-4 and use that
So the prolog for a SIDE-SCROLLING BEAT EM UP is over 10 minutes long and during that time you take away control of the player 10s of times. That's wack af lmao
I done some further testing on this game and once you reach Paris. The FPS goes haywire and start plummeting. fps drops are frequent and seem to be a problem with the PC port of this game it self. As I observed the same behaviour on a more vastly more powerful pc. No matter what you change the settings to it won't improve the performance.
Oh OK ill add that to the overlay in future videos. I redownload this game and checked it for you in the main area it draws 16w to 16.5w but in dungeons it sits around 14w
I’d like to just mention that the optimal settings I’ve found 720p prob for the best but I also have done 900p Quality Render 100% FSR 2.2.1 Balanced (Or Performance) RT Off (obv) -- Effects Low Shadows Low Anti Alias Max (or Med) Post Processing Low Texture Quality Max Ambient Occlusion Low Screen Reflections Low -- FPS Cap 30 (or 60 on performance) Motion Blur Off Rear Mirror Off (I have VSync on ur choice) And then the game runs alright and looks far better, I don’t know what’s wrong with FSRs implementation, but Anti Alias on fixes how much it’s destroyed FSR acts like a DR scaler more then anything Also the game is ok, reminds me of Flatout so it’s not bad, not really optimized but fun, story is awful tho lol
Yeah I just checked They seem to have removed the older versions. It took a little while but I worked out how get it. The only way to get it to work is to manually install the correct version of proton. Go to this link: github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/6.21-GE-2. Download the file Proton-6.21-GE-2.tar.gz on you steam deck. Then extract the file. You should end up with a folder called Proton-6.21-GE-2. You then need to copy this folder to the following location. Home/.steam/root/compatibilitytools.d. The .steam folder will be hidden. You can make it show by pressing the little hamburger menu on the right hand side of dolphin and selecting the option show hidden files. Once its copied just boot back into game mode and change the games proton version to the correct one. Hope that helps.
I created a basic config and shared it on the community layouts tab. It should have all of the controls for camera movement bound. But you may have to bind more complicated actions your self later.
There is two different ways. The first is recording on the steam deck it self using decky recorder. Some of my earliest videos are recorded using it. The down side to that method is that there is a slight performance hit. Also the quality is not the best. The second method is using a separate computer with a capture card. This gives you better quality recordings but the downside is that when you are recording the steam deck you can't use its screen. You have to output to a external screen. This is how all of my current videos are made. I would have a look at videos covering decky recorder the quality may be good enough for your purposes. Hope that helps
