Despite the Watergate Scandal, Richard Nixon was a very good president. For improving relations with China and Soviet Union, ending the Vietnam War, did so much for the environment, made Neil Armstrong go to the Moon and coming back home, and definitely was the best president for Native people with his self determination to them. It’s nice that it was all inspired by his coach who was Native American in College who helped him get better at football and giving him more confidence. Which he was eternity grateful for and even told his staff about it. He was Abraham Lincoln to them. Which is ironic because he really looked up to Abraham Lincoln. I finished watching the movie Nixon today and I really enjoyed it.
I was there that night with a couple of friends from school. We all supported Reagan. My roomate, a Carter supporter, stayed behind. We certainly had no invitations but it was easy to walk in. There was not so much security back then. The room was certainly electric with excitement. Thanks for posting this video.
I was on the USS JOHN F KENNEDY CV67 in the Mediterranean sea heading to Naples Italy. It was great news when our Captain told us over the loud speaker the results. I would say about 70% was for Reagan.
