It works on my Breville Oracle but I have the single shot button programmed to stop at 17 seconds. It works a real treat. No adjustment to grind setting required. I find it’s close enough and it’s tasty.
You have hit the nail on head!!! I agree with you that we can better find a brewer that resist the side channels in favour of your 4 th option, which should obviously br the 1 st!!!
I’ve not followed the journey of Cat & Cloud closely since the opening of Portola because of other commitments to career related things, but watching this video conjures memories of the bag of that I bought for my birthday in October 2016 right after the store opened, and when I began working in my career. It is lovely to see the ongoing success of the business after all of the work that was put into opening the first store. Now I need to order a bag. 🤣
I came across your old videos way back in the day when I was starting out on bar. Your enthusiasm and passion is still so infectious and really boosting my current wave of coffee passion after finally obtaining a niche for home after years of lusting after one.
Good mill, but it has a weak point, and that is the grindstone holder, it has three little ears that even if you drop it on the kitchen counter, they break, they should improve that piece.
I thought this machine was for the nonprofessionals. Kinda like a plug and play. If so why knocking it for small trivial things you prefer. Don’t understand
The problem with blends is u will never get a consistent cup over the course of a bag of coffee. Even single origin single estate pulling a consistent cup from a whole bag is a dream. I just embrace the variation. It's like fruit from the same tree they don't all taste the same. Some sweeter or juicier than others
Love seeing the cupping informing the espresso and then the espresso informing more blending. Very cool. One problem. 50% + 30% + 10% doesn't make 100%.
It gives you a wider sample size than if you use just one cup. So if you taste something odd or unexpected it makes it easy to determine if it’s an issue with the coffee, or maybe there was just something, like a quaker or some other roast defect in that one cup throwing off the taste.
Good to see you! Since I’ve last seen you put our videos my wife and I bought a coffee house, I learned and am learning how to roast. Move across the country and now starting a roasting company in Tennessee :) Thank you for all your time and effort in your training videos.
Hey Chris. I'm the guy who bought the AE86 from you!!! I unfortunately crash the car... I fix a lot of stuff on it already and I'm just waiting for school to come back so i can repaint the car 😭
Hi Chris Whats the accuracy level on swan grinder? It does always same like Mahlkonig does? Also between Mahlkonig E80 and Swan what’s your recommendation? Thanks
