I first heard this song on ONE TREE HILL. Was so crazy looking up for the artist and song title back then. Memories of the past makes me sad. Unexplainable.
This song has captivated my heart and mind over and over again, helping me digest so many things. 15 years ago, it was about love and moving across the world to live with my now-wife. 3 years ago, it was about ontology and heaven, universal consciousness's need for space-time in order to discover itself by shattering itself into myriad finite consciousnesses. Today, it's about the extratempestrial model of the UAP phenomenon, and anyone who has read Michael Masters' book will immediately see the relevance in this song's lyrics. All of these are related, on some level, but I am blown away at the song's capacity to powerfully reflect such disparate and seemingly unrelated swathes of the big puzzle of reality (as i experience it).
To me this is my favorite foals song, still bizzare to me that they didnt remake it. Can’t find even one live where they performed this. And can’t even get it on Spotify or Apple Music, but maybe that adds to the charme dunno.
