I have to agree with some of these statements this is the absolute worst scale I have ever owned came in dead on arrival change the batteries nothing left them out for 10 seconds nothing there isn't even a reset button on this unit. They don't even bother checking your equipment before it leaves the warehouse but they took my money faster than a blink!
10/3/2024 THE APP STILL STINKS VeSYNC! FIX IT ALREADY. IT'S REALLY ANNOYING. NOTHING STAYS CONNECTED & YOUR SETUP VIDEO DOESN'T HELP EITHER. IT'S NOT EVERYONES WIFI CONNECTION. IT'S CLEARLY A GLITCH IN YOUR APP.
Vsync stinks. It keeps disconnect some of my smart outlets not all of them. I have six. 3 stay connected and 3 constantly disconnect. It’s not my WiFi. My signal is strong all my other devices stay connection my wife except 3 smart outlets. Time to leave Vsync! YOU STINK!!!
The Problem I had, is I was choosing the wrong outlet. When setting it up, scroll down and make sure you are selecting your outlet. even though the first "smart" outlet looks just like yours more than the Etekcity one does.
The Etekcity Smart Fitness Scale is by far the worst scale I've ever owned. I've tried everything - placing the scale on a smooth flat surface, resetting the scale multiple times, even making sure it is clean, and I still have no idea what I weigh today. It's not uncommon to gain or lose 3+ pounds in one day according to this scale. I wish I had kept the old Withings I used to have. I would stay away from this one if you want an accurate measurement.
I have a rechargeable model and it doesn't charge or turn on anymore after under a year. It sat for months untouched without being used in a safe place(cabinet) and when we tried charging it nothing on the screen, we left it on the charge for a couple hours and tried again still nothing. Hit the reset button, still nothing.
Exact same issue. Charged and used a few times, then had to move and put it up safely. A few months later it's just dead as a doornail. Won't charge, won't do anything.
These devices don’t use infrared, that would not go through walls and obstacles. They use RF (radio frequency) signaling in the 400 MHz band to achieve that range and also has adaptive technogy to cope with interference and signal path challenges.
It fails after the connect to the device stage. The light blinks and I can see the devices Wi-Fi signal, but nothing will proceed after that even if I connect to the device is Wi-Fi intense indicates there’s no Internet and will not allow me to input my Wi-Fi even though I’m standing right next to the damn router.
Thanks for the video. I have had one for a few weeks and I am really happy with it. It seems to be quite accurate within a few ounces and I like the backlit display a lot. Our other scale talks but is hard to see the display. I tested the durability of the glass by weighing myself while holding a 50 lb. cast iron plate. I did this a few times and did not have any issue. I got the same result every time and it did not feel like the scale was weakening or goin off-balance at all. I am just under 6'4" and at the time I weighed 296 lbs.
