I hate to be a hater, but there are just so many things wrong here, and following this video could damage your car. First, you do not use “power steering fluid” from the parts store. As others have pointed out, you need to use GM-approved Dexron automatic transmission fluid. Yes, the manual will tell you “Dexron III”, but that’s only because GM was only on version III when the Z31 was produced. Modern Dex-VI is fully backwards compatible, plus it is synthetic so it will last and protect longer. So refill with Dexron-VI. But whatever you use needs to be RED not clear. There is a filter in the top of the reservoir. You need to remove it so you can really get down into the tank and pull as much old fluid out as possible. Plus, if you leave it in there you will probably damage it, including breaking off little pieces that could flow into and plug up your power steering pump/rack and ruin it. Turning the wheel stop-to-stop without the engine running might actually push some fluid through, but the fluid ain’t flowin’ unless the pump is pumpin’ - the engine needs to be running when you rack the steering. Racking the steering is mainly to get air bubbles out - you definitely need to check your fluid level after that to ensure you have enough fluid in the system. Please, folks - don’t follow this video!
This is the second of AGBoyz videos that I have viewed. I Greatly Appreciate the simplicity of Their “How To.” I own a 1987 300zx, and there are a few items that have to be addressed with Ky Car - the Slave Cylinder is by one of them. With little to no experience, repairing Cars, the AGBoys video has Me Inspired to replace both My Slave Cylinder, and Clutch Master Cylinder, and😊 perform😊 the repair from
Those 2 bushings that hold one side of the window, what are they called and are they reusable? super lost can't find diagrams or names of the part or anything
Do you actually turn the car over so it's running when doing this or just Axillary? It is not clear. I did it on Aux, turned the wheels as shown but nothing filled the reservoir......
my engine was idling really rough but I see my mistake and that was that my ignition connectors were switches thanks to you and first video that shows them how they are plugged in I was able to see that I had them plugged wrong so thanks.
it fixed the misfire? did you have codes? i got p0300 and p0172 (rich condition) changing out sparkplugs, and hopefully that does it. If not getting 6x new coils, and if that doesn't do it 6x new fuel injectors. fml lol
I got the same problem getting to much air in my passenger side valve cover is what the dealership stated need to disassemble to find out what's the problem smh they wanted $1,750 bruhhh I already changed almost everything...
@@lenermaz4546 I changed out the spark plugs and coils still having the same issue. I think its either my passenger side valve cover gasket or my catalytic converter. My o2 sensor readings are good bounce from .1 to .8 volts, but my rear o2 sensor bank 1 bounces from .2 to .4 during idle. It probably will be my valve cover gasket like you said cause I found a bit of oil on sparkplug #5 passenger side by the firewall
@@NouriGains any updates on the situation you were having?? Those are very good things to look out for. I had a misfire on cylinder number 2 so i changed everything including the coil packs.
@@agboyz1624 Changed the spark plugs first, and then changed the coil packs. I had the same issue. It ended up being something with the fuel injectors. I bought two bottles of BG 44K platinum fuel system cleaner (costs like $50 for 2 bottles) I ran 1 bottle on 1/4 tank till empty then another bottle on 1/4 tank till empty. I got over 1,000 miles on the 2003 g35 since, and no check engine lights. Try bg 44k if you are still having the same symptoms after sparkplugs, and coil packs!
woke up this morning with my clutch biting point all the way to the floor lol will try doing this later today and ill report my results edit: well it helped but unfortunately, there's no more room to adjust and it's still pretty low : /
Did you figure out what to do because I have the same situation, it’s so bad I’m on the last thread and the clutch isn’t fully engaging so that I can go into gear
@@the_cart_project918 yeah sooo, i bought a new master and slave cylinder and replaced them , because aparently they go out and leak fluid or whatever happens to them. there are decent vids on youtube on how to replace them and add fluid. open your slave cylinder and see if its low on fluid. if it is, you could temporarily fix it by adding more fluid and bleeding the oxygen out of it. a permanent fix is replacing the master/slave
Yo, I'm thinking about getting a z31 and these videos rule for helping get a feel for how maintenance might go. This might be bold to ask, but do you think you could make a playlist for your vids on the z31? I would super appreciate it!
