Dhivehi Rajjeyge Adu had its first breath of life on 29th December 1962. However, broadcasting in accordance to the fundamental broadcasting law of Maldives began in 1980. It was a moment of national pride for this country, as it was the first time the first radio station adopted a name in our mother tongue, Dhivehi.
