Hi. I have some questions about the springs, their materials their thickness, and also the washer filler between springs. Is it possible to get your professional advice regarding that? Thank you
This is not trivia,l and I invite others to add to and comment on my answer below. Things to consider: * Natural frequency * Drive unit frequency * Material fatigue * Don't tighten the screws too hard * The dynamics of the entire system You want the combination of the springs, bowl, base and feeding parts to work nicely together. It's good if the springs match the bowl to produce a natural frequency that is close to the frequency of the drive unit. However, on a perfectly tuned bowl you may have to dial down the power of the drive unit to avoid excessive amplitudes (causes spring fatigue and unwanted movements in the base). Be mindful about material fatigue in the springs. Avoid sharp notches, corrosion, excessive amplitudes and make sure to pick a durable material. The mechanics of the suspension is a bit complex. If you tighten the screws too hard then you can make the springs rigid in their rotation about the screws - and this can deaden the vertical-rotational vibration of the suspension. One can dimension the leaf-spring suspension through the use math and simulations, or trial and error on the real thing. This is the topic of a future video!
Good point. There are a number of different coatings specially selected for bowl feeders. They are selected for a number of different qualities - resistance to wear is one of them. Algoryx Momentum currently does not capture gradual local wear/degrading of the coating. However, you can approximate individual degrading stages along the way and also look at how the feeder performs in worst-case scenarios. What kind of feeding parts is it?
i also made my very own house in algodoo 2.1.0 and it came out amazing, it had a lot of updates and now i have a account, i dont own any of the older versions anyway
