Originally from France, I have been living in Vancouver, Canada for the past 16 years. Painting and drawing is what I like to do every day.
I have exhibited extensively in Canada and internationally.
My work has been published in many art books and magazines. I just finished working on a watercolor instruction book for beginners,to be published by North Light/F+W Books on June 2015.
I am an active member in my community: I am a co-founder of the North Shore Art crawl, a co-founder of a weekly life drawing group, a board member of the North Vancouver Arts Council. and I have been invited as a juror for public art, art grants and juried exhibitions.
I enjoy sharing my love of art through my blog and social media, and by teaching workshops and classes.
BIG QUESTION: I do graphite portraits and sometimes a day or two later after I think my drawing is finished, I'll suddenly see a mistake that needs fixing and that is easy to do. Question: In dry brushing .... after the paint is dry, is there anyway I can still erase, lig hten and/or darken an area that needs it? Is there any way to fix an error after the paint is dry? Thanks for any help.
I wish I had kept a bottle of tempura paint. I gave it all to my kids ceramic teacher. I’ll keep an eye out for a cheap bottle of it to try your technique! It came out gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Question for you Sandrine: no tempura, can another paint be substituted? Maybe gouache? Fantastic technique and love your final result, I just found you and am Just in love with your work! Thank you
I like to experiment with different media. I rarely use only one in a piece. THIS IS SO COOL!!! Ugh! I’ve got so many supplies, because I’m always wanting try to create different styles requiring medium I have to go buy. I’m curious. Would alcohol ink made to use with resin work? I may have to test it! Lol! Your perspective about it will be greatly appreciated!
This is so interesting ! I am tempted to try this but have never bought mdf or shower liner before. Do they sell these online? Have you tried other ways to print since this last article?
Thanks @daaliart, I bought the shower liner and MDF at a hardware store. I haven't tried other material than the blocks from the art supplies store and shower liner.
