"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite."
My grandparents were there. They've been avid fans for over 50 years, since before CCR was CCR. My grandpa even stumbled onto "The Factory" during one of their rehearsals, it was right by a fiberglass fabrication shop in the Bay area.
She is insanely relatable. Love all of her albums ❤️ interesting author of a few books. I understand her story. Very honest. Love the lady's vibe. Thanks from New Zealand 🕊💜
Brings back so many great memories, i was there twice a year from the late 80s to the 90s, it was fantastic, never any trouble, everyone so friendly, look were we are in 2024 Esp in the UK, what's happened?
Classic Ulysses: "It depicts the scene from Homer's Odyssey in which Ulysses (Odysseus) resists the bewitching song of the sirens by having his ship's crew tie him up, while they are ordered to block their own ears to prevent themselves from hearing the song." Internet Joyce Ulysses: "In the Sirens episode of Ulysses, we see Bloom tied up at the Ormond Hotel, tucking into a meal of liver and potatoes, and being distracted by singers in an adjacent room, while Blazes Boylan journeys towards Ithaca (Bloom's home at 7 Eccles Street) for a sexual rendezvous with Molly." Internet Cold Mountain: During dinner, the group gathers around the table, raucously eating a meal, laughing at the others’ doings; in the sound design, Minghella has chosen to include, for a brief second, the sound of a bird’s shriek as the women are laughing, thus tying this group of tempters to the “half-bird, half-woman” Sirens of Homer. During the meal, as they are drinking home-brewed alcohol, Junior notes that Inman’s “eyes are gone,” linking Inman’s current intoxication to the quasi-hypnotic state the Sirens impose on their listeners. Throughout this scene, Lila and her sisters are extremely sexualized; one sister erotically rubs Veasey at the dinner table, and we later see him and two of the sisters naked and having sex in the smokehouse; additionally, Lila urges Inman to “ride her all the way to China,” an offer Inman seems to take with aghast interest. appscholar.blogspot.com/2011/05/sirens-song-homeric-siren-descriptors_05.html
SHE never ceases to amaze! Goddess in her heart! I would love to have her drop her hit “People Have the Power” song again! We have always loved her, but we need her to sing that anthem again! 💐⭐❤♾️
I don't know all of wynn's work. I totally enjoyed "Kerosene Man" and "Dazzling Display". Enjoyed recent videos, like "The Universe Inside". Surprises me Steve didn't hit bigger.
