..weirdly. I stand corrected. This did not, somehow!, translate into an awesome Crown show. The opener is amazing, and then it just kind of muddles along with a lot of notes. They're just reluctant to play a nice, full-bodied melody for longer than a few seconds? Why play four notes when you can cram 80 in? I dunno. Had high hopes for this. They're still amazing, but the show is overall not that memorable.
Not one of my favourites.A bit bitty and no recurring theme of any sorts, not in a league of some of the great test pieces for a National final. It’s a shame because Musikklag are an outstanding band.
a good band with a top conductor leading them beyond themselves to play more then the notes ♫♪great ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪ ♫♪ ♫♪great sound! ♫♪♫♪ ☺ ♥ ♫♪☺♫♪ great ♫♪♫♪♫♪☺ BRAVISSIMO @bisbis 🎶🎵🎼 great music! a well tuned ensemble that sounds like an organ ! Fabulous banding
20yr old metalhead here, I love it when people ask what kind of music I like. Got the long hair, band tees n everything but damn do I love a good brass band. Trombone is and always will be my absolute favourite instrument. To play and to listen to. Always throws people off aha
I adore the piece! The soundscape that Gregson creates is wonderful and it gives the band a great chance to show real old style brass band sounds! And what an ending!! 🤘
@@steffenmrsk4720 To me, it's just a pale imitation of Cloudcatcher Fells that loses its way and plods confused for far longer than it needs to, before reaching a climax that sits awkwardly with the rest of the piece. Gregson at his best can be genius but for me this is some way off - if anything it feels incomplete and unpolished.
