Despite what people say, classic crown will always be one of my main go to’s. The way it just has no burn whatsoever makes it a whiskey that just always stands out Though I recently got my hands on the new Crown Single Malt which is essentially canadian scotch, and it hits nicely. The big thing is that it tastes like a 12 year scotch but with a surprisingly lower price tag, relative to other single malt whiskeys. 60 dollars is still a lot, but most single malt scotches are around 75 dollars. Very competitive price plus comes with a unique silver crown bag
Thank you so much for this video. I couldn't understand what they meant from the written instructions. I was asking my suger to the bottom and addjng the espresso lol
I get something completely different from Marini & Rossi. It tastes like a mouth full of sugar and oregano or poultry seasoning to me. Not at all pleasant.
Great video, I'd like to know your opinion on the Fabrizia brand of limoncello, it's another brand that makes limoncello with lemons grown in Sicily, and it seems to me as if they might make the best limoncello in all of Sicily. I have eaten some of their baked goods made with their limoncello, and I was greatly impressed with those baked goods.
@@MasterYourGlass Which limoncello(s) in this video is most like the Fabrizia limoncello? Interesting I have been curious about pistachio cream liqueur since I love pistachios. I once had Gelato containing Sicilian pistachios, there is something very good about Sicilian pistachios.
This video is amazing! I bought Grand Mariner last year to make some chocolate truffles and completely forgot that I had it until recently. It tastes amazing “neat”, but I wanted to learn more about how it could be used…. Your tutorial does not disappoint! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with us. So when people say dessert wine, the wine itself is the dessert? This makes so much more sense to me, because I always thought people were having these Ports with really rich, sweet desserts. That just always seemed so cloying and off putting to me. To my palate the only thing that goes with something like cheesecake is a dark coffee like espresso.
Thanks for commenting. Yes, Desert wines are the Desert but they also go super well with actual desserts for some people. Cheers and thanks for watching.
I like rye whiskeys and high rye bourbon so I think that is why I really liked the hand selected barrel. The Reserve is really good as well. The XO is ok but not as good as those other 2. The XR I have is the 18Y so not sure if that is what you were reviewing or not. It is not as good a value as the reserve or hand selected barrel but it does have a very unique flavor I have never had with any whiskey so it is great to save for special occasions. I do not ever see using any of these in a cocktail. Neat or maybe on the rocks.
I’ve tried both in Rome last year and was drunk after the 2 drinks. What is Campari? My gosh, it’s like drinking gasoline😆 but it gives a nice buzz. I’ve never heard of these drinks until I started planning for my Rome trip. I can’t wait till my cousin tries them 😆 when we get to Paris in a month (girls trip). Hope they have these there.
Great video! So I made an Absinthe drink once few years back. Now I know why it was so strong. I didn't know I was supposed to add water. Two glasses and I was like, hey this stuff is pretty good. lol
You really had a missed opportunity because I'm sure that people would've liked to know how you ranked the flavours (in your opinion of course). I know that I would have.
Thanks for your thoughts. As you know mixed drink recipes evolve; which means today’s sgroppino isn’t the same as the early ones but the legacy remains. There are a few viable options here. Perhaps still wine or another form of alcohol was used. It’s not the sparkling wine that is the key establishing flavor/texture of this drink, so it didn’t originally need to have it in order to create the roots of the drink. it’s the sorbet/gelato that is the key here. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge here anytime! You might want to check out some additional info on the history of sparkling wine. In my research It was first “documented” in the 1530s which means it was likely created way before that. Even if we stick with 1530s it’s perfectly feasible that these ingredients were mixed together Cheers to you and thanks again! Salute!
Livio! My friend! I so wanted to have one on a recent trip from the SF Bay Area to New Orleans. Went to Manolito, where I'm told they make a great one and learned that they make no drinks with Chartreuse because of the shortage. No shortage in my house (😊) so I made one tonight, my first ever. Wowza, what a great drink! Salute!
I gotta say... I just view all Crown as the same thing unless it says it has a different flavoring added. Maybe they are different but unless they have some 120 proof it's all kinda meh to me
