It's scared, would 'nt You be afraid with all the crazy drivers on the road. It's a Idiopathic diagnosis Could be the smallest vacuum leak to bad (although new) plugs coil. it happened to my 2011 2.5 SE 2 Sets of each runs great now. GOOD LUCK !!
2011 for fusion same problem. Coming to a stop rpm starts jerking up down like wanting to turn off but doesn’t i throw it on neutral stops for a bit then starts again then throw it back to drive stops for a bit then does again . Any updates on what it could be?
More than likely, the front pump on your transmission, they fail in these cars. I have a 2012 that’s doing the identical thing. I haven’t had it formally diagnosed, but I can guarantee that’s what it is.
I have a 2011 and had this issue, it was like I was losing a cylinder, I cleaned the electrical plugs to my cylinders and that fixed it, probably pretty dirty
This car never threw codes for me for a misfire. My scan tool has a misfire counter and I could feel it, but it never triggered. Over hundreds of misfires and no codes, it finally stalled out and I got a CEL.
Had some issue, checked, air sensor on air flow, checked throttle body, fuel running all good, issue was the coil for me, issue resolved just had to replace a coil
I have the same 2 dash lights on. The airbag and the tire pressure sensor. Maybe they throw the computer off? Check the battery in the tire pressure sensor
It's the upstream O² and/or the catalytic converter, replace those (I'd try the O² sensor first, easier to replace ad MUCH cheaper. I'd do downstream sensor to just so theyre both new). If that's not the case then replace the cat. Before that though, go to autozone and ask them to run their ODM box for a code reading and I bet $10 it will pop the code P0420 - Catalyst system, Bank #1. That actually includes the spark plugs so its goos you did that, but if tjat didn't fix it I'm pretty sure it's one of the things I mentioned. I have a 08' Fusion that the same issue. In park it was fine, in neutral fine, it shook like a leaf, and had a very light Jerking, but that stopped with new spark plugs. Replacing the Cat and O² sensors fixed it though. Idk which it was cause I replaced the cat and sensors at the same time so maybe I could have saved some money if it was just the sensor/s, but It had 200k makes when I got and I was replacing all sorts of parts to try and get it running like new. After that, new brakes, new spark plugs, replacing the fluids and filters and doing a little work on my air intake (hadn't gone bad, but the air intake cover fastener/bolt holes broke from dry/old plastic, so I replaced it). Now it runs super smooth and my gas mileage has gone back up to 28-30 (th3 catalyst issue will increase your fuel consumption btw, so I'd check MPG and if it is lower than normal/before that's even more evidence of an issue in the catalyst system.
Mine is also 2011 for fusion n it was running good till i had to replace the damn by pass radiator lower hose after replacing it i was going to take it fir a spin but soon as i started the car it started jerking hard like your car hope u figured it out let me know pleeeaaassseeeeeeee
I have sort of the same issue with mine except mine missfires at high rpm’s as well like when you try and pass somone or give you alot of throttle I’ve replaced pretty much everything you have and I’ve taken it to 2 diffent shops done a compression test and everything no one can figure it out
First while car is running, disconnect the wiring to a plug and see if anything changes. start with plug 4 ( driver side) This is to test is you are running on all four cylinders. FYI Limp Mode only runs with Cylinder #1. number 2,3 and 4 does nothing. If you tried everything and cant get out of LIMP Mode try this... 1) turn on car just till all light on dashboard comes on. 2)DO NOT start the car 3) leave key where it is. 4) disconnect negative battery 5) walk away for 10 mins. 6) reconnect terminal 7) start car and you should be back to full power.
I have a 2010 Ford Fusion and it started doing the same thing it it shakes and engine goes dies out and the RPM is real low I put on the computer to see what what coats will come out had to change One sensor and the throttle body and it's still doing the same thing but sometimes it will work perfect some other days it will just die out
Update. The car has electrical issues. I think bad ground in the system. I tested the ignition coils wires and it was jumping from 13.9 to 4 volts unstable voltage in the system.
Its crazy but bad coil pack can damage the pcm thats attached to firewall even after replacing coil pack u have to repair pcm or replace it also could be throttle body
I figured it out i lost conplete spark after changing out erg value traced the wire down found that a wire has melted off one of the tabs by the exhausted and alternator that runs into the crank shaft sensor and the wire dropped down and was arcing out causing a missfire and over heating issue jerking at low speeds and high rpms spliced the connection and put a new one from oreliey and the car is running better then before so check your EGR and the crank shaft sensor if it not secured properly and moves around it can cause check engine lights car stalling and lots more hopes this helps
@reymcdonald1743 not true its will read pcm or coil packs it could just be as simple as the crank sensor wire i fixed mine yesterday have no issue at all now i thought the same thing save money by checking your wires over times they get brittle
Still puzzled what caused it. It went away the next morning. Everything is back to normal. Oil level is normal was changed 2 weeks ago . 5.5 quarts as per manual. Thinking it was some king of glitch on the computer.

Upon checking my oil, the level was really high. Once I fix oil level, the engine eventually started idling normally. The key is to let the engine idle normally for some time. I set a timer for 20min before test driving. She’s running just fine now.

2012 fusion, start jerking when at the traffic light today. Exactly like in this video. It happened once before but went away same day. It was a year or so ago. Now it is came back suddenly and stayed. Did anyone solved this problem.?

I had exact same problem with 2010 ford fusion. I got new spark plugs / fuel injection since they were not changed and i had 130K miles it did not resolve the issue but changing Igintion coil resolved the issue. Now it is giving better milage after changing spark plugs fuel injectors and Ignition colis. I had exact same problem describe in the video and problem disappeared after changing ignition coils. i did had error code i think 301 which is engine misfire on cylinder 1 so i put coil from 1 to 4 and got error on 4 which confirmed it the ignition coil. Mechanic was not able to identify but i identied using youtube watching several video and ending up replacing coil myself. :)
