Come along on our life's adventures on our hobby farm in Tennessee where we grow a lot of our own food and preserve it, homeschool, raise farm animals, cook lots of food for the family, and just do life together! My heart is at home!
I live in London , Kentucky. Williamsburg, Kentucky is two towns south of us. I didn’t realize there was a Kings Doughnuts in Williamsburg. I’ve never been to The Ark. blessings on
We very much want to visit the Ark Encounter! We live in WA state so it’s quite a lot travel but my aunt lives in Cincinnati and I’d love to visit her and show my children my childhood adventures in Amish county ❤
Thank you for sharing. Those 2 read alouds from CLE look very interesting. My son loves learning about Canada and we are part Ukrainian so they both seem like they would be a good fit for us. And yes I agree sometimes the simple and to the point curriculum is the best. We are have the Notgrass America the Beautiful curriculum and enjoy it, we finished the first book, but we are taking a break to do some history learning with living books before we do part 2. Hope you have a great year.
We love cle for everything. Math and Reading is so ahead of it's game. We dropped all the other curriculum for cle. Social St. Is awesome. We are going to try science this year... I can't wait!
@@danahall1282 wow!! That’s awesome to hear!! Sometimes the simple and basic is the best!! I think my kids like how it comes in little books so it doesn’t feel as overwhelming!
We use both programs too! I love them both equally though I feel CLE is more in depth. We break ours up by days. Mon & Friday we use TGATB because its quicker but advanced. Tues-Thurs we use CLE to dive deeper into things!
Is The Good and The Beautiful math open and go and easy for the teacher to use? I am a busy mom of five soon six kids and about to have a C-section for baby #6 and need to simplify somethings. Looking for math and language arts for my first grader and was considering trying TGTB. Love to hear any thoughts you have!
@@Grace_Filled_Homeschool as I was doing the good and the beautiful math level three with my son this morning. I almost had the thought that I wished I was doing the Christian light education math with him. I really like the good and the beautiful but sometimes I just feel like they move too quickly! I’d be interested to know what you think of their lower grade math?
@@sarahsheartshome I have used Math U See, Abeka grade 1, and ACE. Christian Light has been my favorite by far. I wish I had known about it sooner. I love all of the lower levels. My daughter using grade 1 is doing great. She worked on it over the summer and is half way through. She can do all the “We Remember” sections independently. My other daughter has done levels 2 and now 3 and is very good at math. I have a daughter who was struggling with her multiplication facts. She switched to CLE in 4th grade and their flash card system helped her memorize all the facts!
I was wondering since you used lots of sugar. Isn't sugar a preservative? Mixed with apple cider vinegar you should be fine. I would make a small batch to test. Japanese preserved radishs can be preserved with apple cider vinegar, salt, sugar, and tumeric for color.
I’m gonna do these….. That week everything blew up and we have just been eating cukes, which are still a blessing. Thanks for posting this. Love the slicer.
Hi Sarah thanks for another great video! Could you please do a video tutorial on how to make a sourdough starter and bread? Would love to try, but looks so intimidating. Thanks! God bless you and your family
The Aldi’s here where we live in Missouri is so high I don’t go there very much, we heard the prices were supposed to come down but so far they haven’t May God bless you and your family
You have such a sweet spirit. Now you make me want to plant a garden. I had decided not too. My heart just wasn't in it this year after losing my husband almost 10 months ago. Maybe i should for the kids
Oh I am so sorry to hear this!! My heart breaks for you!! Yes- plant a garden- even if it is small- and find healing in working the soil. Somehow it truly is therapy. Love to you!!
