American football is (or was) a great cultural export. Sorry about all the other cultural exports of the last decade. Our intellectuals are driving the culture and our intellectuals are divorced from reality and real human progress.
LRZ's kind of a 'tweener. He's a bit bulky for a WR and a bit underpowered for a RB. Most RBs are thick and get low on contact or squeezing through the hole. My eyeball test, he wasn't finishing. When somebody got a piece of him, he went down, and he wasn't pushing people back on the way down. He probably has the power, but will want to do some body sculpting and work on his contact balance and power at the point of contact. If he can learn to block, he could be a small TE. That might give him a chance to showcase his speed against linebackers. If he gets better at making contested catches, he'd be bigger than the guys who can run with him, and have an edge, there. But at the moment, he's still a ways away from fitting on regular offense. Like I said. He's somewhere between a WR and a RB, with a shot at some TE type things.
@@tass_uk I hope he makes it. It's a great story of a great fan and a great athlete. He has a lot of body sculpting to do, I imagine. NFL is all about explosion, contact balance, and power. Rugby requires a lot more endurance. NFL football, you give it everything for 4 to 8 seconds and then you recover. Nothing aerobic about it.
The Coach for the Chiefs Andy Reid’s playbook is one of the largest in all the NFL Rookie receivers often struggle their first year learning it and they have been playing all their lives
As Jesse points out, it's surprising he didn't return to the Chiefs' practice squad to maintain that sense of normality. Doug Pederson is a disciple of Reid's, so that could be a factor in him choosing the Jags.
As a Chiefs fan we were all rooting for him… But our team is stacked with ballers..We will always root for LRZ because he is a solid dude…don’t feel too bad for him…he is now living in Florida with a ton of blonde hotties and nightlife that is electric ⚡️…LRZ’s life is going to be a lot of fun 🤩
He's had a lot to learn at a skill position in a short space of time. Let's see whether he can hone those skills and time will tell if he has a future in the sport.
Glad you enjoyed it. Please keep watching/listening. We've got another great guest coming up this week to look ahead to Week 1. Tell a friend about us 🤝
As I understand, he has been taken on as a WR for the Jaguars whereas for the Chiefs he was playing the RB role which is more suitable to a rugby centre than a winger. The WR position is probably a lot more natural to Louis.
As a Chiefs fan from Kansas, a few things, first, we don’t call them Kansas. They’re always Kansas City, KC, or the Chiefs. For one, they don’t play in Kansas they play in Missouri. When you just say Kansas, people hear the University of Kansas Jayhawks. Second, they wanted him to be a pass catching RB and kick return specialist. WR isn’t quite as transferable to winger as you might think. WRs get the ball downfield under tight coverage. RBs get the ball behind the line of scrimmage, which is similar to rugby and they have fewer plays to learn. He’s still going to have to learn how to block. And now he’ll have to learn an entirely new playbook, which is like a brand new language.
@@loganleroy8622 Thanks for the clarification and sorry for the misuse of Kansas..... Chiefs or KC from now on ..... There's a lot of people trying to get to grips with the differences which is what makes it so interesting. 👍
@@SlowfingerJC No worries, it’s totally fine. I wouldn’t expect a newcomer to the sport to realize that Kansas City isn’t necessarily in Kansas. It’s just that it’s a bit like referring to Nottingham Forest as Notts. It just immediately sounds wrong.
@@loganleroy8622 I live in Germany and when I say I am originally from Wales, they often say "in England" ........ Or when they ask if the Welsh language is just an English dialect ...... So I naturally have to correct them and explain to them that the English language has more to do with the German language than the Welsh! Anyway, have you an idea what I should call the Jaguars???? 😂
14:26 Majority of Eagles fans are NOT happy about the game in Brazil!! Marcus talking about us taking pride in “they picked us” to play there is ridiculous! We’re not only losing a home game but the season home opener! It’s total bs! Phillies going to London is different because we’re only losing 1 home game out of 81 regular season home games. It’s also fun to break up a long season. Some fans were mad but majority were looking forward to those games and 10am Sunday baseball was great! Hope you had a fun time if you went & thank you for these couple of interviews leading up to the series!
Majority of Eagles fans aren’t happy about losing the home season opener to a Friday night game!! The London Game was great but they was also in the middle of the season. Phillies fans are looking forward to this series in London, especially because the season is so long & we’re only losing 1 home game. I know the players are the most excited to go out there.
i hope the Mets get there ACT TOGETHER when they come to the uk! I will be there on the 8th of June to see them in London. I Want to see for myself how bad they have been playing. C'mon Mets!!!!
