I really admire Paris for this attempt. I know it’s not popular but imagine if they succeed! What a triumph! We do all have the right to clean water, the problem is governments usually never invest in this kind of infrastructure. I hope they succeed.
Yea but they had 8 whole YEARS to prepare for the Olympics and they got reminded to clean the Seine only 6 months before the Olympics started when they promised 8 years back that it would be clean enough to swim by now
I'm French and it's so horrible, and it's so disrespectful. Did you know that during the Algerian War, many Algerians were killed in the Seine. It's so traumatic…
Not much of a protest... we get it you keep telling the same story of hate for wanting to make a river clean lol. The devil is alive and well in you for wanting to make the situation worse... A child complaining and actively working against it. Disgusting.
Next year they should open the Seine to the public and it will stay open unless on days it's dirty. The systems are build to take out debris and contamination constantly, however it won't be guaranteed to be clean every day, especially after rainy days. This has been know for years. That billion euro project was an initiative for the public not merly for the Olympics. The Olympics only accelerated the clean up process...
for all the stranger put there even if it dosent rain the water is still poluted from the industry near paris and highter up the flow. its not a river you should drink water fromor swim into no mater how "clean" the governemznt are trying to make it look like
This girl comes across quite entitled and childish. Tell us why it's not clean enough instead of just complaining the whole time... Lmao did she really say look at it?!
No, because they forbid usual citizens to ride on one of the loans : thus we have to endure traffic jam all day long, in order to let the iddle class ( CIO, police, politician and athlets) taking these privatized loans. ( Otherwise, you get a 135€ fine, they put cameras, cops are warning....).
Too bad they didn't really advertise this beforehand, the whole city planned to take a shit in the river just before she dives as a protest. I would have loved to see that.
I swam in the marne ( tributary of the seine) regularly. Jumped from a bridge into the seine because I was enjoying my beverages. I'm still dumb af and still waiting for a second head to sprout out my shoulder.
Are you serious. Dont support this. They are throwing poor people out of paris via bus , taked away the appartment of the student just for the OG. The seine isnt even good to swim in. They are lying about the result. Most of them show the polution is too high . Fascism were near to take control. People who are in psychiatric hospital cant go out even if the doctor agree because they dont want them to be 'seen' when tourist will be there. There is people who had to close there bar , shop and were told last moment because some of the street will be closed too. Cyclist dont know where to ride with all the new law, disable people have a hard time to naviguate the street even more. They spent millions for the seine but we still have island ,other part that are not in france mereopole that need drinkable water and the gouvernement isnt doing anything. Police is brutalizing people even more , lgbtphobia is rizing and racism too. Since the election , there have been transgender people killed and black ect people attacked. Please dont come to France 😢

I mean the color isn't a good indicator as sediments can make the water murky without there being much bacteria Tbh whether or not ppl actually end up swimming in the seine it's still a huge win for a cleaner seine
@@gmdesert3810 I wasn't talking about tje seine in specific, just that from a video you can't judge the quality of a body of water I talked to someone from an environmental agency on the topic about the Thames and that's one of the points I remember from that conversation I'm genuinely curious as to where I can find the numbers that led you to this conclusion? Afaik the tests didn't reveal forever chemicals and just bacteria
