A Grand Seiko or The Citizen is unequivocally superior to any equivalently priced Swiss watch from the major brands. This assessment does not necessarily extend to microbrands. Additionally, in terms of movement technology, Seiko and Citizen are decades ahead, the 9F and the 0100 movements and not matched by anything Swiss.
Omega is the watch for everyone who can be access. Especially the watch fans. Watch is Watch, always wear on wrist not about resale value. That’s why people said; Omega is Watchmaker. Rolex is Watch Seller.
If Rolex dealers were adhering to their agreement with Rolex there wouldn't be a "grey" or shadow market. How does Rolex ADs justify not selling watches to retail customers who are the legitimate buyers but sell watches in bulk to grey market dealers who sell watches ABOVE MSRP? Legally the AD who sells their inventory to a grey market dealer who then resells the same merchandise to a retail customer at a price above MSRP is facilitating selling Rolex watches above MSRP..
Guys why are there watches in the used gray market still hold somewhat of there value. You would think there gold watches would sell close to 10 k if everyone hated them.
I had a Sub for years and every time I wore it someone would ask if it was a fake. That didn't feel like prestige and that's why I sold it. I'd rather have a glass eye than another Rolex.
Chinese watches can be great. When you see the watches , even Omega getting dumped on ebay, the 70's ones with day date mechanical issues it makes you p'd off about the more expensive ones. Happened to me in real life. The Chinese ones I own are bullet proof and such a joy to own !
If I have to study and do a test just to buy one of those bags, they can get stuffed. The only reason women want these bags is the scarcity because people, especially these days, don't like to be told "no, you can't have one". Hermes is sneaky and very clever in how they make their products "scarce". It's like how De Beers controls the diamond market.
Take a GS and a swiss watch at the same price.... "every" buyer who aint a watch nerd will bye the swiss watch. Why?.... becourse when they flash their new watch they want their friends to now it was expensive without asking the price.
Rolex has taken a page from the diamond market playbook. Create a shortage to increase prices. Diamonds are the most common gemstone on the planet. They are not rare, at all. You could fill a stadium with them. But one family, a cartel basically, controls most of the world's diamond mines... so they stockpile them and only release a small amount each year, to carefully control the supply side, to maximize the demand side and keep prices 100x what a diamond is actually worth. It should be illegal, but they have deep pockets, and politicians all have a "for sale" price... Rolex is clearly following in their footsteps...
Kept messing up movies and watch references I couldn't keep watching, sometimes the pictures would even show a complete different watch than the one being talked about
I absolutely love it. It’s a game night and they would be willing to play and then you have Hialeah stealing their handbags in Miami Beach and then you have Sylvester Stallone buying his wife a half $1 million handbag in Palm Beach.
Unfortunately a Rolex now makes you look cheap because you'll never convince people that it's not a clone. The harder you try, the more desperate you look.
I love cars and like watches. I couldn't wear a watch that's worth more than the car I'm driving. Thus, I've owned a Carrera Heuer 01 (non-skeleton, rubber strap) since 2017. It looks great, it's accurate, reflects my passion for cars and is worth less than either of my cars. So for me there's nothing wrong with Tag Heuer 😊.
I buy a santos steel automatic in year 2000,the watche cost me 2600$ new,i have unfortunatly to sell it 5 years after and sell it only 1600$ because it was an urgency and dont have other choice, but now i am looking for buy an other santos, the same modrl is dificult to find and cost today 4400$ at less, just stupidly insane ,they ask the double of the price i buy it new....but its not the same for other model, all pasha are very afordable in secondary market,,there is a lot of pasha around 2200 or 2500$ ,normal or gmt...its a very underated model.
