Did u ever try to bypass thermostat to increase minus temperature I'm looking what would be the result... thinking to do -150 do you think is possible?
I think I have the same issue as you demonstrated. Glad you mentioned about the colour on the wall to indicate the pump water versus rain water. Unfortunately in my case the pipe was installed in the concrete. No idea if I will be able to pull it out. The exit point is under a veranda. Will need to pull up a number of board and will be really tough digging. No windows to reference just will need to go to the end of the foundation. Section of the basement it is in is unfinished. House is 70 years old and likely been leaking for a while Not a young fellow like yourself and think I will need to leave this to some pros. Thanks for the video. This gives me a good idea of the issue.
Thanks for the video! I am having the opposite issue; my freezer is too cold. My thermometer goes to minus 20 Fahrenheit and it is pegged there. I do not yet know if the unit is running continuously as I have not checked but I suspect it might be. Any suggestions?
Did you test the thermostat with the dial turned on or off? I tested the thermostat in the on position and it is working. I tested all the other parts including the start relay and overload protector and they too are working but the freezer still does not get cold???
i dont know if I can do it but it sure looks fixable. It is certainly not worth buying a new thermostat since my frig is over 20 years old. Of course, the problem gets complex because the cost of getting rid of the old frig is north of 200 dollars. Sure looks like a fix is better than trashing it.
so theres only 1 lifting rod you attached? i just bought a used 44 inch blower for my 2007 x324 and they gave me a kit with 3 arms, and some bushings to install it with but it looks like you only used one lifting arm?
I spent 5 hours calling repair shop, the supplier of my refrigerator and looking around on the internet for a replacement parts. Did not find anything and all the repair shop told me to scrap the refrigerator. I did exactly what you did and it work like new now. If I had found the video sooner, I would have saved a couple of hours. Thanks a lot.
Hello there! I just got a 44 blower off craigslist. It appears to have all the parts - I have ax x324 select series with foot lift/lower. I can't tell from your video where you are attaching the lift rod, but if I have a 54" deck I have what I need? I saw another video with a mid lift bracket and I was concerned. I think I might be missing those brackets that are attached to the frame, and I am guessing that means I am missing the 400 dollar lift kit called ST541023. Then again, I have not removed my mower deck yet.
Check out the video at 04:55 to learn where to attach the lift rod. It looks like you figured out what you are missing. Not all models come with a lift kit. Good luck👍
Hi. Great video on how to check the thermostat on a small freezer chest. I am having difficulty with my upright Kenmore freezer. It's a smaller one but does not freeze. I've checked out the relays and the compressor and they seem alright. Where would I find the thermostat on my freezer? I have a feeling that the thermostat is not functioning. Thank you for your help.
Thanks for this video, I just discovered evidence of a similar leak. No water but almost a bucket full of dried sandy soil. The previous homeowner did not disclose the problem so now it's mine to deal with. The home inspector did also not notice it. I see that after repairing the pipe you must have filled the hole with something. Is that some kind of concrete product? Thanks again.
You should not install the wires backwards,,,, one wire is load the other is marked C because the voltage must flow in that direction if not you will encounter a problem, C is the hot wire which must flow threw the filament for proper long life function of your freezer.
Thank you... it fixed mine ! I had to install a new starter, due to freezer not starting, but after replacing the starter, the dadn compressor would not shut off and kept freezing the suction line. I did your thermostat trick and the freezer is operating like new. A big thank you !
Thanks for your video. I managed to get the thermostat fixed using your suggestion. The screw was adjusted to the point where the thermostat functions as expected. The 20 years old Beaumark chest freezer is back in action.
I don't know all the ins and outs, but the thermostat is basically an on-off switch for when the freezer. It turns on the compressor when it is too hot, then when it reaches the proper temperature, it shuts off the compressor. The screw is essentially an adjustment screw.
For those looking for QUICK a temp fix, you can connect the two wire from the thermostat and then plug the freezer into a timer. 1/2hr on 1hr off if you are not going into it alot
