Great video mate, I worked out that way yonks ago, looks very familiar used to do the run in a Waco 180B dump truck from Shay Gap crusher to Nimingarra, that was indeed a long slow drive sometimes extremely difficult to try and stay awake on night shift 🇦🇺🤙
It is all very well wiping out the town but surely the more serious issue is that the tailings in the gorge are severely eroded and being swept north into the river system and distributed across the plains by wind and rain? Also there are many iron ore mines in the Hammersley Ranges spewing dust across the whole region. Blue asbestos is through the range so presumably is being disturbed by the iron ore mining. The whole thing is sketchy.
Nice video of the iron ore train carrying export dark brown iron ore. I intend to check out the iron ore railways someday in Western Australia. Do you know where to go on public property?
Despite the horrors that befell the residents, it's kinda sad to see this place vanish into history, like Shay Gap before it. Does anyone know where Mario went? I hope he's ok, and his bodily defence systems are being studied by top medical researchers somewhere.
Should have just left the town as it was , even without services, people should have been able to exercise their own right to live there or visit and to assess any and all risks involved .
Thank you for that. I still have a few more videos to update and that will finish up my recent trip. My next trip to Kal is probably not until June or later in the year.
1800 metres is still the length limit, but tonnage can be above that. SCT run the highest tonnage freighters ~6000 tonnes west bound, whilst the mineral sands when running it is ~9300 tonnes loaded west bound. Once those tonnages [above 6000, I think it is] are on the ARC network [WA] they are limited to 80 kph.
Yes, almost every container on Aussie rail is domestic. Very little 'land bridging' happens over here. Linfox, CEVA and a couple of other runs some 53' containers, usually for car transport.
Crew van, mobile accommodation for the relay working across the Nullarbor, has sleeping berths and toilet, shower, 'lounge' and kitchen facilities for the drivers.
Asbestos all over Australia,Australian 🇦🇺 Gov had knowledge of the problem's it caused, fibro sheets, plpes it is everywhere, I have a problem with it,worked as an Electrician on and off since 1965,it is now April 2024.Shame on Aussie Gov.
Those 4 fuel tankers behind the amenties wagon, I see them regularly on the Aurizon Adelaide Darwin run, they only go as far as Alice, diesel fuel only?
These waggons on the Pacific National services are coming from Cook, are reloaded with diesel in Esperance via Viva and then sent back to Cook. The Aurizon tanks as you have seen are Adelaide - Alice Springs traffic as you noted and should be Ampol.
Gday mate !! how long was this train ???? it seems like it took 4Ever going through Parkeston !! no wonder this train has a fuel tanker on it !! this is a very long trip from Perth to Broken hill !!
Gday this is Paul from Adelaide hope you are having a wonderful day !! great video mate. I just wanted 2 know is this the place where locos get Refuled after being on a long trip from Adelaide or Sydney or comming from Perth !! & could you please get a shot of the Indian pacific at any chance !!! thank you please take care !!!!😁😁
Yes mate, the Pacific National services will take fuel if required, but the Aurizon and SCT services have fuel tenders and inline fuelling. Currently the IP runs through Kalgoorlie in the dark, but that is due to change with the new timetable. I do not live in Kalgoorlie, but try to get there a couple of times a year. Party on!
You combining your video with the techno is awesome. Everyone has a drone now but few produce content like this. I've said it on another video and I'll say it again now. You choice in music has forced me to comment again! I love it! Please, please, please produce more content like this using your choice of techno. Well chosen, more please!!!
One more thing. Please get some software that will enable you to extend the length of the tracks to fit the video's length - rather than how you tried to make if fit in this video. Still, awesome choice in video and audio combination. Thank you.
You choice in music has forced me to comment! I love it! Please, please produce some more videos with your choice of techno. Well chosen, more please!!!
is that section of the Nanuarra Munjina road still open? The roads must be contaminated no? ..was recently driving the 136 but only the section from tom price westbound..
Road is still very much open, and runs through the 'contaminated area' and you drive through Joffre Creek travelling on it. Joffre Creek runs through the national park, through Wittenoom Gorge and into the Fortescue here.
