Hi Brad! If you come up to this video and read this, I know that we're strangers. But I want you to know, that I am so proud of you Man! Hello from Indonesia! You're so inspiring!
Dude great for you!! I can’t believe what you went through, but you’re an inspiration that no matter what, nothing can stop you from achieving your dream. Nothing can stop you, except you. And if you keep going, you’ll achieve your dreams! You’ll lead a great life!! Thank you. Your whole life is a lesson for others ❤
Any teacher that cares this much will be amazing Teachers are important. I had teachers who believed in me as well, having ADHD and dyslexia I was seen as dumb and naughty. One teacher believed in me and it was was my science teacher. Today I'm a cardiac physiologist and that teacher was one of the reasons why. !!!!
I had a gym class with Dave Silvestri one year while at Parkway Central. I didn't know him well but it is nice to see somebody that went to our high school back then do so well.
I have Tourette's. Like Brad Cohen I didn't know what was happening to me. Being a Christian I thought I had demons and if I could get them driven out, it would go away. Worse thing is I have coprolalia with obscenities. Watching Front of the Class made me realize again the enormity of Jesus' grace and how He understands my weaknesses. 🎉
Great guy. Very eloquent. Just found out today his connection to St. Louis and Parkway West. I was attending Riverview Gardens during the same time. He was talking about his draft number being "37" when they drew it las in a lottery in December 1972. Mine was 30. I actually met him when I was working in U.S. Customs (now Customs and Border Protection) around 1995 in Los Angeles. Even though we interacted for only several minutes, he was as gracious as ever, as you see here.
Thank you for this video…Brad Cohen is the teacher I never had…i was diagnosed with a rare platelet condition and later in life (after I’ve learnt good English and gained better understanding of words meaning) I realized I’ve also got nerve disorder (sufferings of leg pain…that it’s painful regardless whether I’m walking, moving or somewhat stationary on bed) but back in schooling days I get laughed at when I couldn’t join P.E. classes and one teacher even asking me to stand up in front of the class and telling the whole class not to play with me as I’m sick (to avoid any possible complications) which is saddening (I get singled out thereafter) and I have no childhood…so my life is either going to school or other than staying at home indoors when not at school. I grew up thinking teacher was actually just a job and they aren’t really interested to know what I’m experiencing or to help me further in getting my way in the society (I was 5yrs old when I’m conscious about my condition). But thankfully God works wonders in ways we can not see (at start of our life) that now I’m a full grown adult, having graduated from a good university and got myself a Degree and living the life as how normal people out there are…I may not have the childhood life of my dreams but I’ve lived on to tell a story : ) Hope this world will have more teachers with the likes of Brad Cohen…I am amazed and love his real life story…so motivating…and the adaptation into a movie (that first caught my attention and made me cried) and I salute to his determination and vision in life. ❤🎉All the best! He deserves to have a good life which I believe he’s probably having it as I type away here 😂 God bless us all!
I finished "Front Of The Class" just two minutes ago and I searched for your speech straight away. I too have a stammering problem which turns out to be worse in stressful situations. Your journey is a great motivation for me to do anything in my life I want. Thank You for your hardwork and Thank you for being in this world. May Allah bless you always ❤...
