I had the honor of singing a bit in a small group in Tacoma with Homeless Hendricks on the guitar...he was telling me he used to play with L7 in Seattle back in the day
Well this is embarrassing, when artists have other people living rent-free in their heads making songs filtered through ideology. They have some bangers from the day but this is aunties pasting clip art visually and sonically
My dad was in a band that opened for L7 when he was a teenager, and he had to sneak out to play the show (his parents were jehova's witnesses) so all he could fit in his bag was a tiny guitar amp, and his bandmates were pissed at him so he asked one of the members of L7, can't remember which, and she said no and was apparently very rude about it, then a few years later, a friend who my dad met much later in life also opened for L7, and one of the member's amps exploded and he let her use his, this has been one of my favorite stories from my dad my whole life, we thinks its funny, not sure why, but we laugh every time. BTW we don't hold anything against L7 we love them very dearly and they have influenced my own music so much.
