How did the boat handle with both the tabs and a hydrofoil installed? Did you have too much stern lift/bow issues while underway?

How did you get on with them?

Have you had any troubles with reverse not working in that stringer outdrive? My reverse is slipping and I haven't found any videos on how to get the reverse gear out to replace it.

Pretty sure these are set not for trolling ? Aren’t the tabs meant to be set to the down position then when you drop the lever they go even lower to troll ? Rather than up level with hull

Nauticus sell them direct. Google them. The brackets are PR500 retractors. They ship world wide.

where did you get the adjustment for raising the trim tabs. How does it work? Good?

I recently had muskrats crew the bellows on my outdrive. Has that been a problem on the Smart Tabs?

Trim tabs have worked pretty well and yet there is an easier way without having to drill holes in your hull or add control linkages that you have to adjust. The Uncle Norm's Marine Products Fin systems do everything that trim tabs do and more and they are totally passive. No holes to drill and you can be ready to go in just a few minutes. Oh, one more thing, it costs less. Check out Uncle Norms Marine Products videos on you-tube.

Don't worry about the crack. In the chines there are pieces of wood, and they are all sealed. No water will get in. Chances anyway are that that is just the outer finishing coat that is cracked, and there is still a layer of fiberglass underneath. I would tru to put some marine goop over it and paint it with the bottom paint to hide it a little bit.

You think your Drive is old...lol. I got ya beat by years. Take the hydrofoil or whatever that is off the Drive. IMO, only, it puts more stress on the Transom. That's why I chose these. They're going on a 20 ft. C/C Corsair. 1967. Good vid!

Your next step is to determine what caused the crack. It is possibly a stress crack due to a rotted stringer(s). Start by removing the floor above the crack and at least 2' to either side. Even if the stringers are good you still need to fiberglass reinforce this area. Tools you need to do the job are Circular saw. Angle grinder with a cutoff wheel, 36 grit flapper wheels, and a steel braided cup wheel will make short work of the foam. Thats the short answer. Good Luck!

Am looking at putting on the same setup on 20' Stingray. Only thing, retailer states the PR500 adapter is NOT compatible with the Samrt Tab SX composite. Was it a plug and play type install?

I have these for my Bayliner 1750 Capri with a 3.0 Mercuiser 135HP. For Bow wander and quick planing THEY WORK! Easily towed a newbie 240lbs skier with 170,170,220 on board plus gear. 850lbs is max. But...Composite is cheap to the touch. Hate the idea of Plastic bolt/screws (easy fix). Swim ladder/trailer tie downs interfered with ideal placement. Low speed drag feels strange like driving with anchor down. My boat slides a little MORE in corners contrary to claim. Highly Recommend! 8/10
