I think I fall in love with Tina Fey as Liz Lemon and There will be no seasons to guide me in their ways in order to see me over her again, This could be the end in a main event on 30 Rock. 😏
there has never been a greater comedic duo than Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant. Ive listened to their XFM days for half my life. and it's so heart warming to learn how HUGE the cult following is for those early years. Ricky has his laugh of course. along with his razor sharp and quick wit, mixed with funny impressions and intelligent blend of his love of nature and growing up mid class. and with Steve. he has also an extremely razor sharp and quick wit. on top of his obvious intellect, background with making fun of his unsuccessful love life early in his life. but also Steves best contribution is being the perfect balance for Rickys insanity. they balance eachother PERFECTLY. and Karl came along and offered the extra balance we didn't know we needed. these three are TREASURES
I know Tina and Amy Pohler are great friends and very similarly talented; Amy wrote some very funny episodes of Parks and Rec, but i think Tina is a comedy genius. 30 Rock is deceptively simple in its quick fire dialogue and surrealist absurdity, but its a ridiculously intelligent, brilliantly written show and Tina is responsible for a lot of that. She is a force, she really is.
The best part of the “you got the old leather pumpkin scene” is when Floyd takes out his earbuds and says “huh?” cause he didn’t hear her, and she’s so flustered that she repeats it instead of taking the opportunity to backtrack and save herself the embarrassment. I don’t know why i wrote all that except that it annoys me the punchline of that joke is totally missing haha
